  1. Best FIY I can give is to participate in all parts of the forum! No need to start a thread questioning about needing more posts in order to sell your stuff. If you would have read through the Sound Solutions Audio Membership - SSA Car Audio Forum and Attention NOOBS!!!! - SSA Car Audio Forum You would read what was needed.
  2. That new DP looks mean as hell!
  3. Congrats! Nice choice! I just got a DR 18! Post pics when you get the sub!
  4. Nice looking SSD! Very underrated imo!
  5. How much were those? The clips look to attach to the tray to tighten the top? ...
  6. But on a serious note read over the testing and results of the new SAZ-2500D compared to the old SAZ-2000D. It is close to output as the old SAZ-3000D.
  7. Doh yea can't read! Look into the DCON they are just great on the lows and overall a great sounding subwoofer!
  8. I'm in the same boat with this 93' Civic I got. Lots of surface rust and worse. Might let a more qualified person work on it.
  9. What syle of music you listen to? What amplifier wil you use?
  10. Nice write up and tutorial! Thanks for the post! And that chic is HOTTT!
  11. Cut or grind it out. You want to get all the rust out. Is it surface rust or has it gone through the body panel?
  12. Toss a coin! The DCON's are some bad ass low frequency monsters within specified SSA box specs! The IA 187 series are a nasty loud, low playing subwoofer within IA box specs!
  13. Port off the back wall. Sub up front downfiring at the angle you described.
  14. Price of 3/4" MDF is $31.99 here. Was in the low $20's just last year on sale.
  15. Wow, I suppose they have to say where they were built in order to make sure your not smuggling in something?
  16. Up front as in by the windshield? kick? my head? lol I'd like to give it a shot, but I'm trying to do as much planning as I can since 3/4 MDF is 30 bucks a freaking sheet! I remember when I started building (about 4 years ago) 3/4 was like $22.. now the 1/2 is $22.. Good question, look at firing the port towards the back along the rear wall.
  17. Sundown ftw! But i'm biased
  18. One advantage of the Sundown is the variable subsonic filter. I think the Alpine is a fixed SSF filter. The Apline may only be stable to 2 ohms where the Sundown is stable to 1 ohm. Not sure though on the Alpine.
  19. I don't. i just figure they would sound better then off my alpine. and what about running my 6.5's and my 4x9's off this amp. should i just stuff all the wires into the amp or just worry about my front stage only? If it were me I would run the front stage only and forget the rears.
  20. Give it a shot, you will have some major up front bass with that setup.
  21. Tuning a vocal amp is no different than any other amplifier. Just use your ears and adjust the high pass crossover point so you get a good mix of mid and highs. Don't expect alot of midbass out of factory speakers. I would say factory speakers could be anywhere from 4-8 ohm. Best way is to use a dmm and either check at the speaker itself or at the factory radio harness.

Do you plan on strapping the two amplifiers? If so what ohm load are you looking to run on the two amplifiers?
  23. Try the downfire method or you could try side venting into the cab corners.
  24. Good work on the center console!
