  1. Oh the agony of being a Sundown Rep! I love the DCON but I may have to step it up and go with the new ICONS when the time comes!
  2. Wow! That is some sweet woodworking there! CNC envy!
  3. Gotta love the "I heard 13 12" and they didn't sound nothing like that"!
  4. Not previously, I will when I get the front stage done!
  5. Congrats x2! And to the asshat RE xxxv3 best thing about you ran down your moms chin!
  6. No! with authority. :-) You have practical experience to back that up I take? Not with the Q personally but what I have read and what other members have said it is strictly a Sound Quality Subwoofer. You may want to look into The SSD, which I have experience with and that is a great all around subwoofer. Loud, low and still remains musical. If your stepping up in power then look into the BL or the big daddy BTL. I meant with the ohm load. I know about the sub, I already have the Q and I'm happy. I just want to fully unleash it, that's all. Got ya! Still not to sure your going to audibly hear a difference!

  8. Welcome .... What goals are you looking for out of your sub setup?
  9. The Q was not designed to be loud, all though it can get loud in a ported box. As far as any difference? No!
  10. Here are pics of the fiberglass baffle that I will be using in my new box. Some may remember this plate from way back.
  11. Got all the front stage speakers .... So on to the pics ..... This will be my first attempt at going active.... 8" Peerless mid-bass 5.25" Oz Audio Matrix Elite midrange 1" Vifa tweets with flush mount
  12. What amp?
  13. Some CLD tiles should eliminate those embarrassing rattles for ya!
  14. A large enclosure doesn't limit the mechanical ability of the sub, it just reduces the mechanical power handling ability of the sub. The sub can still move the same amount in any box. Thanks for the clarification .... It's what I meant to say, just didn't type out that way.
  15. So that's why your up at these hours.
  16. I would look into going to 4.5ft^3 tuned to 33hz. That would give you a nice bump at tuning + add in cabin gain and the length of the vehicle you drive it should meet your goals.
  17. WinISD uses the "Optimum" as to what the speaker would plot out like in a perfect Anechoic Chamber. I would definately go with what SSA recommends! You may want to tune higher than the 29hz you have your existing box at! Personally I like a higher tuning since I listen to mostly Metal!
  18. The curve down is the F3. Where the speaker starts to roll off naturally in the enclosure!
  19. Did you like how it plotted out? Should have a nice bump. A QTC of .707 will generally give a flatter response. The XCON should plot out a nice curve in a sealed box!
  20. RD doesn't even deserve that good of a 60 cylce death!
  21. Sealed Subwoofer Speaker BOX DESIGN - Qtc Calculator Read through this and then see what you come up with.
