Basically your using a limited throw driver that is not going to have a lot of output in lower frequencies in a home audio style setup. May want to try putting the enclosure in a corner and let the speaker load off the wall.

For the price the IA's are an excellent performer imo. I bought a set for my cousin during the last Black N Blue sale and he has them powered off a Sundown SAX-125.2 and they are a solid sounding set. I have not heard the CTX's

I like to tune from 33-38hz as that tends to be a happy medium imo for vehicles.

was just thinking the same thing If your talking "CLD" yes as you only need 25% coverage to control panel resonance. So multiple layers or 100% coverage can be described as to much deadner.

Ferrite slugs come from China as well. EPA has pretty much made it impossible to make ferrite slugs in the USA.

Eventually they will be made in the same buildhouse as the SA series. Due to demand Sundown will move Zv.3 production to China. But will supply the buildhouse with USA Made voice coils.

Ummm not quite! Amps are still made in Korea just a different buildhouse in Korea. SAE lineup will come from China. All coils for the Zv.3 and NS v.3 series come from Precision Econwind from the USA. May want to get all your facts straight before claiming everything comes from China!

Pick the one that fits your budget the best. 4.75ft^3 will be on the large side for 1 Sundown Zv.3 15" on that amplifier. But if you keep the gains and volume knob in check you will be ok. Either way you won't be dissapointed in either sub woofer as they are both hand built in the USA and come from 2 great companies!

You need to monitor your voltage at the amp to make sure your electrical is up to par to run that amp at 0.5 ohm. I would recommend at least 1 supplemental battery back by your amplifier.
