  1. I like! Classic! Nice job on the install.
  2. For your application I would recommend staying with a properly aligned ported enclosure. Will have great output and still remain musical. T-Lines can be very large and complicated to build to acheive your goals. The DD1508 are a great performer but for the price I think the SA-8 are a better driver. I have heard both of these in a head to head comparison at the local DD dealer who is also the Sundown Dealer. Both were very comparable in output but the SA-8 had better sq and lowend. The 3512 is going to be quite expensive but a good driver. Good luck!
  3. Toss a coin on which is better! Both great drivers with excellent customer service!
  4. 3 ohm single voice coil should not be to much of a problem with most monoblocks.
  5. The Coupler would be ok for the Positive if heat shrink is used.
  6. Well done! The amps look great mounted at the angle. in for more pics.
  7. Overall outside dimensions would help greatly! P-S-P Aero Ports would be an option to save on overall box size. Check the link in my sig and contact Bromo.
  8. X2 on the Stinger Splice mentioned above.
  9. Both very good drivers and both companies offer excellent customer support. The Sundown is a proven beast. A very good daily driver. Have not had the chance to work with Skar woofers but have not a heard a negative comment yet. If budget is an issue the Skars would be a great buy. The Sundown I feel is a better engineered driver due to the design of the cooling and will handle more power.
  10. The beasts are back!

  13. You will not be dissapointed. They are a great daily performer and the output is crazy for such a smallish sub woofer. I have a dealer that replaced two Crossfire BMF 12" with 2 SA-8 and the sq and output were noticeable right away. Granted the box was built for the SA-8 and the Crossfires were in a prefab A-Trend enclosure. Powered off a Sundown SAZ-1000D.
  14. Here is a great read on wire and it's application to car audio. If Welding wire follows the AWG rating then it should not suffer from voltage drop or any other problems stated in other posts.
  15. Check out the SSA store for a package deal on the SSA Sub Woofers and Sundown Amplifiers. Great little packages and the SSA Tech Section will have sample boxes that may fit your space.
  16. Where are we going Jesus?
  17. I would use this and you can find it here http://www.kregtool.com/Kreg-Jigreg-Mini-Prodview.html
  18. More than likely you will be ok as the Kicker amp is rated for 2 ohm mono. But as stated above do the "Big 3" and monitor voltage drop if any. Purchase quality wire the first time around and do it right. I would recommend going with 0 or 1/0 gauge as more than likely you will be upgrading in the future.
  19. Very nice! I always like a good scare.
  20. Well done, no more confusion or questions!
  21. Welcome ....
  22. Cut out another ring and mount it to the other and cut out the door panel carefully to either fit around the rings or just mount the rings to the panel and metal itself and use the supplied grills from the ID set.
