  1. he doesnt have anymore to my knowledge.
  2. if you have to pay just to join, you better rethink it thru. some teams will have tshirts made and it will cost ya to get a shirt or what not, like a group buy but thats all the prices you should have to pay unless you got a group project.
  3. you dont know how much little things like that just put me on top of the world ma! I remember when Team Gates hit the scene, i wanted to be a part of that team so bad, now I am and its well worth it. Good friends, good times, good parties

  5. you can start a team by just making one up and hopefully having other people join with with ya. to join, you can contact the team directly and see what requirements they might have for their team, and they can let you know what their requirements are.

  8. I belong to Team Gates, True Audio Competition Team, Team Smoke. Being on Team Gates is like being on Team world i would say, where we are all together in the big cause, trying to support the industry as well as bring more people into the sport all the time. It is the loudest team in the world, and the largest as well. To me to be a part of Team Gates was a personal accomplishment, since i have been in car audio for 13 years, and seen with my own eyes the accomplishments of what Team Gates has done since their beginning. I dont think there is another Team out there that has done more to either improve or change the industry as Team Gates has done. Besides, how many times have you had someone call you up and say they were building a system to try and top your accomplishments? With Alma being the driving force behind Team Gates, she has shown that its not just a guy sport, that you can have fun in the sport, and pushing the envelope is a good thing True Audio is a local retailer, and a great bunch of friends. I work on my installs there, i help other team members with their installs, and for the most part, travel with all the team members to shows and do our best at taking home all the trophies from each event. The only time i miss team shows is when i have to travel to Illinois for meca events. True Audio has done alot to improve the industry, by having spl clinics, judges trainings, competition clinics, etc. We do these things to get new people involved into the sport, then get them to understand what is happening with the sport, and to keep em into the sport. We dont want to turn on a new guy to the sport and have him wondering why his daily driver setup just got beat by a seasoned competitor, so we do our best to help them understand what happens in the lanes and why. With a few usaci world finals championships, usaci retail member of the year award, and the only competition team in history to do a clean sweep of every 1st place trophy at a single event, I think we have what it takes to be a recognizeable force in the industry. All that from a little town in South Dakota, odd, huh We do all kinds of charity drives at our own Usaci shows, have lots of fun and do our best at helping others out in the lanes. I can name a few times i helped others gain atleast 3 db by just adding a sigle board to their setup at a show. Team Smoke is a meca team, one i joined in 2004 since the fall of my past affiliation with Team Artistic Sound, which all members split looking for other paths in car audio. most , like me, did not feel that our team was heading in the right direction so most of us left in search of new teams. Team Smoke is not the loudest team in the world, not the prettiest, nor the most wins, but we all agree on one thing, Its pretty fun to smoke our equipment once in awhile. While their are some pretty dominant members on our team, you will see our team has some of the most informed people around, where they have either worked on the inside of the industry, continue to work on the inside, or just have more than a clue than woofer+amp=boom. I am hoping that Orion can get a Team going this year, for i would love to be a part of this team. Anyone who has been at the shows where i have been know i have gone out of my way to show off my setup, where my spl ride has a very nice touch of sq. I think i have had probably over 300 people in my vehicle last year listening to the new Orion gear, done atleast 20 hair videos, and convinced well over a 100 people that the new Orion gear is right for them. I am trying to see if we can rally the troops up for something like Team Orion, will know more later about this. For me being a part of any team, I am just like their slogan for the new Orion lineup, POWERED BY HARDCORE ATTITUDE! I think competition for me starts with every turn of my key.
  9. What teams do you belong to? What does being on a team mean to you? What do you do to help out your team and what does the team do to help you out? Does your team go out of its way to help others and/or the industry?

  16. First i would like to say thanks to everyone that is competing this year and promoting their organization of choice, and also would like to thank people who are going out of their way to promote the industry as well. I also wanna thank anyone coming back into the lanes to give em hell, to do what they know best, and that is GETTING LOUD! And with this, I would like to thank ALMA for joining our small group here. Hope you enjoy your stay and hope you can give out some good info to the newer crowd on what you have seen and where you might forecast where we are all heading. Anyone wanting to learn more about Team Gates or ALMA can either post here or visit her website at http://www.teamgates.org
  17. not too shabby bro. i got a 150.6 last weekend with 1 15H2 and a 2500d. i was stoked by that score, since 3 woofers were out for repair. I thought i would be a flunky!!! Hate to see what i can do with all 4
  18. basically its the same as the 24x24 parthenon only with a larger front panel..... If you have never seen the parthenon let me know and i will find you a link. I cant really talk to much about the specific woofer i am getting but it will be different than anything you have ever seen with technology never thought of but will work as its a simple design. the only thing is i need to come up with a surround. and a few buckaroos!!!
  19. so what you are truly saying it that even though you dont know what the inside of the H2 looks like, have no pics or anything, they still stole adire's patent? Maybe cuz they called it split gap? Or is this an arguement based on what happened at CES in 2003? Seems like everyone remembers the first encounter but not the second. Dont remember when JD and Dan talked more in detail about this? You are basing your whole arguement here on Similar Equals Same. Similar does not equal same. Lets go into example of how your basing your Similar Equals Same arguement. #1 We have a red brick with 3 holes, invented by Bob, and he says that anything red that looks like this is his patent. #2 Mary figures out that she can make her red bricks with 5 holes, so she patents it. Now bob and all of his followers see's mary's 5 holed red bricks and get mad, because her red bricks look like their 3 holed red bricks, so she must of stole the design, overlooking the major fact that mary's brick has 5 holes and not 3. Overlooking the fact of the 2 extra holes and what purpose they might serve, they blindly shut their eyes and ears to any reasoning cuz a red brick is a red brick to them. Any questions? Similar Does Not Equal Same. Now the real fun is this. How many lawyers does DEI employ? How many of those lawyers scrutinize patents and laws full time? How many patent lawsuits have DEI lost? I will help you get a clue here, DEI has lawyers on the payroll for a reason, to do their job to their fullest abilities and it has shown in the past that they are no slouches. I highly doubt that your silly little arguement here holds much water............
  20. i am just trying to figure out where you can claim that Orion stole this information from Adire when they make no public claims and have no lawsuits on the patent.
  21. #1 get your story right before you start saying someone stole something from someone else. Since JBL was working on this technology years ago, you think maybe adire stole it from them? If you actually knew anything about what you were talking about, you would recognize that similar is not the same. Funny how you are the only one making these outlandish claims. #2 handling power? i dunno where you get your info there buddy, they will handle 5kw , yeah twice their rated power in a properly built box. If you are building boxes wrong and they cant handle the power due to that, thats your own fault. But hey, lets say a company can handle its rated power, so i guess its bad to you since its not grossly underrated or needs more attention to detail than some slopppy box builder can give, so shame on Orion for making a sub that is not moron-proof.
