  1. First of all my car is to new, and I have found no information on whether it has processing or not. Secondly, I don't understand why you say that the mini DSP won't do anything for me? In the event that my HU does have processing what else would I need. According to their website it has: Audio Processing • Real time tuning • Upgradeable firmware • Low/High pass filters • Graphic & Parametric equalizers • Matrix mixer • Level, Mute, polarity • Compressor/Limiter / Expander • RMS Meters for inputs/outputs Third of all I went ahead and got the Peerless Nomex and Dayton Reference 6" mids because they are cheap, and the general consensus is that they are both awesome for the money. Some say the Daytons can't play well above 2K and some say the peerless don't have enough bottom end. They are cheap enough for me to decide on my own which will pair best with the LPG26. Build/tune/install thread coming soon.
  2. instead of trying to purchase everything at once, I would instead take my time. You have to realize, this hobby isn't a one stop shop. It takes many worked hours just to buy one piece of equipment, but takes only a few clicks to purchase something new. Keeping this in mind, I would buy things piece by piece. Keeping you're ears out there for any used equipment. This accomplishes many things. It allows your budget to be increased. Because obviously, the longer you wait to make any kind of purchase, your budget begins to grow, over time. This method also allows you to find golden jems that might surface at a later date. I would suggest starting off with a good headunit, as it is the brains of the operation. From there, you could work towards your mids/highs and the amp for those. While doing this, I would suggest buying and installing the backbone of your system. This would include things such as speaker wire, power wire, fuses, RCAs, etc. That way when you remove panels, you only have to do this once. Pre-run as much as possible. KnuKoncepts, Madisound.com, parts-express.com and darvex.com are great websites that can get you started. For that vehicle, I would suggest two 12s. And a good amp with at least 1-2 g31 batteries. Just take your time and go through build logs here on the forums to gather some ideas. And honestly, 2k$ is not a lot to work with, not for anything decent, you are going to want more and more cost money lol. Just being honest man. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

  13. very nice. From what I've "heard" in the past, when company measure the v output of a headunit, it is usually with the sub level at its highest level, in your example, 8. But to get that, there may be some distoration and dirty signal involve. Don't know the specifics or science behind it.

Easiest way, is to download the photobutcket app. Upload the picture. then from there, click on the picture via photobucket, and you want to use the direct link. You will paste that in the "image" icon.
  16. looking good

Yes, it can be done, I would assume the basket about 100-130$ plus the recone which can be about the same price.
