The heat is everywhere! Good news, got batts ordered finally ToolMakerz is gonna build me 8 4/0 to 1/0 inserts for my BCs. He will also be building me a 4 input/output fused Dblock so I can compete under MECA's rules lol. Can't wait! I'm finally going to be able to put a 5500 on the zcon I guess I might as well learn how to start designing my own boxes... Getting tired of waiting on everybody else to do it

Yup it sux. No alarm. I had a really bad experience with one. No excuse though, I should've had one. My first decent setup had got broken into, I made it a priority to invest into my security. My current alarm is fully loaded. Viper 5904 with about 10 additional sensors/horns. If you do get one, I suggest getting it installed at a bay, price wise, you will get raped, but it will be warrantied. Also, if you don't want to spend money on a thousand sensors, I would highly recommend at least getting a proximity sensor. Just my .02

I would ground directly to battery!!! Also, I'm not sure how running different loads to an amp at one time effects it, maybe ok, maybe bad? Try in another vehicle, and see if that works. You said it plays fine, then goes into protect, When exactly does it goes into protect? Is it simply at a certain volume, is it at a certain volume for a certain time. etc.
