Ummmmm, Sure? I guess? Really can't see anything bro

Hey guys, I have narrowed it down to two choices. I was originally going to just buy any random HU until next spring when I start my serious build. But with news of x3 for holiday pay which is the entire last week of December working 12 hour shifts, that build may begin sooner. So this HU will be the HU in my vehicle for the next 5 years or so, I'm planning long term here. So the two choices are: A) Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD B) Pioneer deh p960mp I have been looking in this segment for quite some time, not too too in depth, but just looking around. I can get the DEH for 200, or I can get the AVH for about 320. Here are some key features that both offer that is really attractive to me. But the reason I'm asking for suggestion is because I believe I would be getting the DEH at a steel. Plus, 6.5v output would give me lots of headroom when setting the gain to my amps. But I really have no experience with either which is another reason I'm asking. Also, my goals are not too extreme. With the DEH offering an 13 bang EQ, that may become overwhelming to me as I won't know how to setup everything properly as I'm no super tuner. So I'm just looking for some general input to help me decide and any comments would be greatly appreciated. Or, if you have another suggestion, please by all mean, budget would be right around the 330 mark, unless I find it worthy to cost more.

Would it be safe to assume we could expect the same ETA for the 50.4 proto? Why not ask this in the thread that is about the new amps? Because either way I'm crossing the threads. A) go to the thread about proto amps and ask if the ETA would be similiar to what was posted in this thread or B) go to this thread about 6.5 proto and ask if the ETA for these speakers would be similar to the 50.4 proto. At least thats how I was looking at it. Maybe different from your POV?

You would be suprise to whats legal and whats not. If your suspected to be an terrorist, then govt law has the right to do has they please. You know how if you began to swerve, a cop may pull you over under "suspicion", same principal here, if they suspect him to be doing anything illegal, and he's on their network, it doesn't matter when or what happened at w/e time. And you would be surprised to learn that what the Govt monitors is not anything Cox could touch him for. They are not even informed of what the Govt monitors or their findings. You would be surprised what real research and properly wording your opinions would get you. J I'm not sure what your trying to say? Thank you! I like a lot. Just really wished I had an amp that way I could give you an honest opinion. I will tell you this, There is a significant difference between the updrade. My truck comes with a stock woofer, so by default, what this does is cause all of the lower and lower mids to skip the door panels and go to the woofer in the back. But for w/e frequencies that these are receiving from my stock HU, its amazing I hope that helps

Thanks, yeah, I was just thinking there were too small because the basket of the woofer may have been too big, maybe there designed that way, so the customers would make the perfect fit sucks though if you have no dremel lol Thanks!! Oh yeah, believe me, I have done a shit ton of research and developed some ideas once I get a system going. But ATM I don't have anything, no amps, no subs, no aftermarket HU or anything lol So I'm hoping if someone comes peeking, they will be upset to find nothing. But once I get things going after the new year, I hope to start my master plan!

Hello, Would like to say S.Deyoung is a great guy and process of ordering from him was very easy and would recommend to anybody. I order the speakers from him and received them in a very short manner along with some adapters from Car-Speaker-Adapters. Okay, backround information, I drive this And I work here, And this is how much it cost to fill up from E, Lol okay, onward with the install. I will start off by showing step by step pics of the door panel removal procedure and then will post a thorough procedure on ExplorerForum. Okay, again, sorry if I'm taking up too much space, but I hopefully somebody could benefit from seeing the process I took as theres really not any information out there regarding fourth gen Explorers. Ok, now forward with the speaker installation. Here is the stock, IDK I had a tweeter in there Even had its own enclosure! lol Heres a comparison from above And a view of the Kulo Big S/O to Car-Speaker-Adapters. Although I broke the other one, I was still able to use it lol. But in this image, you can see I went at it with a shaver thing-a-ma-jober lol. The basket was too big Check THAT OUT! Okay, this is the last shot. So overall, I am very pleased with the way these sound! Just really need to apply an amp for them. I see a new 50.4 is in the works which looks great so that may be an option. But so far, just off of my stock HU these sound pretty damn good. This is my first product purchase since my last system was stolen and joining the SSA family and would buy anything from them again. So with my gratitude satisfaction, I decided to do this, Tell me what you guys think!!!
