  1. Thanks for the interest. The woofer is currently still in my position. I'm a good man of my word though. I promised Alton I would allow him to make payments. That concluded last night and will be sent out Monday. It's a great woofer.
  2. Freaking amazing. So you didn't brace the rear ports?
  3. Haha thanks everyone for their response! Yes, I was gonna wait until next year to really make a name for myself, but during recent unfortunate life events, I've decided to do it now. I blew the Engine 4 weeks ago, my fault, and so while it's down and out, I thought now would be a good time. So the future plans, are: 6 15" DSS Ethos. 3 Taramp 8Ks. And 10 group 31s. All of this should be ready by Slamology.
  4. My first impression, was holy shit these are heavy! I had help, but carrying four of those bastards up to the apartment on the second floor was extremely heavy on the back Lmao. The suspension seems very stiff right now, not 300 pound man can sit on it stiff, but pretty stiff. The assembly seems very well built. No excessive glue, all magnets are aligned, the packaging omg the packaging! Definitely check all corners on that. Coil looks nice and shiny, and the leads seem to be also in top notch shape as well. All in all, everything seems great as far as visual is concerned.
  5. Got it playing!?!?

  12. Damn, just did a search and found the wiki link, which describes this orientation as Compound or 4th order band-pass enclosure. fml lol
  13. BOOM! I think I found something guys haha So, this whole time, we've been referring to this enclosure design "sealed box into ported chamber, an 4th order bandpass. BUT, I think I found something. Doing a little google search, I found this site. http://www.mobileinformationlabs.com/HowTo-1Woofer-BoxPaid-New.htm Now, I'm not sure on it's accuracy, or creditably. But, it sounds good to me. Anyways, the box is called, Single reflex band pass Sealed enclosures that play into a tune enclosure that acts an s a low pass filter... This increases efficiency within the “pass band” or usable frequency range of the enclosure. Pros: Can be made very efficient within the pass-band”, can be designed for increased gain in a band of frequencies, increased power handling within the band. Cons: Distortion hard to hear so, it’s very easy to destroy woofers, increased gain designs sacrifice low end response, relatively large enclosures very difficult to design and build, very sensitive to design/construction errors. -------- So, tell me what you guys think?
  14. old school song! thumbs up!
  15. You have to be a Libra Lmao

  22. ..... why? Idk I just always hear people saying how good the low end response on the sp4 is. They DO have a great low end response.
