  1. HA! No sir, I do not. It's there as a place order as there has been some "modifications" made to my rear hatch that no longer allow it to stay upright under it's own weight.
  2. I'd have to try and see how that works. it seems that when I do that I can't get my sub moving lol Haha, I know what you mean. In the cases I work with "Craiglist installs" is what I call them, when I set it to complete clean settings, like I would do with mine, the results are not want the customer wants. Well, it's because they are using 80$ amplifiers with 50$ subs. So without adding bass level and bass boost, you won't have anything good to brag about. Now lets say you have a ssa zcon, and bc3500, you would have plenty of bass with 0 boost in any configuration.
  3. Not sure, that's interesting. Its normal for cold start to be higher that warm start. but, not into the 12s with no load.
  4. Prototype Magnatar, yes. Final production will be changed.
  5. Thanks. Yeah I have very limited skills in this area. Never actually amp'd the door speakers. I'm just going one step at a time and I figured I should get the Head-unit first and build out from there. I got you man. Yeah, I would buy the best unit for my budget if possible. Then buy a good amp, either four channel or 2 channel, and a good set of components.
  6. We are sister companies indeed! Interesting, did not know that
  7. I guess my point is how many persons drive their car long enough to care? Long enough to care how well the system sounds? Or long enough to care for their passengers? For people like me, I care a lot. Because I travel often, and would like the make the passengers listening experience as good as mine. When you're in the movie theater, the movies doesn't care just for once section of the seating, they have an entire audience. So you can look at it like that.
  8. Maybe you're confusing Active with SQ To run Active, that simply means, Speaker A, play this frequency range ie (100hz-4khz), and Speaker B, play this range (4khz-20khz) You DO NOT have to run Active to to have SQ. Their are many great Passive sounding systems out there. For you Skill set, it is probably what I would do.
  9. yeah, endless possibilities. It also depends A LOT of speaker selection, and placement. For example, usually the smaller the speaker, the more on axis it has to be. So in this example, if this requires your passenger tweeter to face directly at you, then obviously the passenger will suffer the listening experience. In my vehicle, I use horns. In it's current configuration, I can turn my head left and right and hear no difference in image. This is because horns disperse a very wide sound for the lack of better term.
  10. sale is on now
  11. What amp are you running? What vehicle is it? Is it doing this just all on its own, or when you turn something on?
  12. I always leave my bass level at zero. bass boost at zero.
  13. I'm a little confused? You said you want the best double din SQ unit, but won't be running active? lol Any who, I have the Clarion NX702, it has built in Nav and built in BT, but also 4v output, with SQ settings galore.
