I was going to get the alpine 9886, but I came across the amazing deal for boxing day, Amazing Deal on HU Has anyone had any experience from this particular HU? I havent come across 1 negative review on any site, other than Pioneer's grounding issue, im not to worried about that.

1500 on a q, their rated at 1000, there are afew that have put 1500 on the bl's, but for the q just watch out and make sure you dont smell anything.

I was originally thinking of going with the alpine 9886 unit, but are there any other notable HU that stand with this unit. Ive looked at pioneers, dont really like their single knob and form, Ive looked at Eclipses, and I dont really like the display, But I havnt looked at Kenwoods, im sort of thinking they lack in quality but my buddy has a touch screen and loves it, so he recommended get a Kenwood. Im looking for a single din, roughly $300 which will have ipod control, and nice 4v pres.

My buddys in a tight spot right now and has only $600 for HU, 1 sub, amp, wiring, and box. Sub: I think we are going to go with 1 12" sub, thinking about the FI SSD, any other subs that are pretty affordable and good? Spit some ideas out. AMP: I have no idea what will be powering the sub, thinking about 500-800 watts, need some help here as well. wouldnt 2 12's have more cone area than 1 15, i thought that it was only 1 15 has more cone area for 2 10's. Im interested in what people have to say too, im wondering what would be louder too.
