I thought the same way when I bought my BTL's.. Since you can only get them from Fi.. So I didnt think it wud be trust worth. Takes time to build the woofers but its worth it..They are built nice and they ship them good..

Look my Mercury Cougar has a stock 130 amp alt and when the stock speakers hit the head lights on the dash go dim.. Just buy some good batteries to back it up.. You think one D3100 on a good electrical wud hold up for a 3000D?

Yeah if your running both subs on one amp at a 1 ohm load then yes go with dual 2 ohms..
