component speakers to keep up with
So you'll just end up with a far more expensive way to...make noise

q or ssd 10 or 12
Well, if I had 2 cubes of space, I'd probably try that first, but that's just me...the upper end on Fi's recommended range is 1.5cF.

Amp around 2500 watts
That's really interesting how they can do that - considering impedance rise is a function of the enclosure the driver is in... Maybe they're just assuming everyone uses the manufacturer's recommended enclosure?

Hi fellow bassheads
<--- not a basshead, but welcome anyway

q or ssd 10 or 12
With that much power and enclosure size, I would recommend the Q.

"Keeping up" can be accomplished by $2 piezo horns.

Dammit Dave, you've got me listening to that Brad Paisley/Allison Krauss duet. It's getting into too country for me, but I'll be damned if it's a good recording and would be perfect demo material for single drivers.

I say mid-lows because i don't know how else to describe it. You got typical bass, which is just bass. Then you got the lows, the kind of lows that just flex windows and set off car alarms. the deep low. I wish i could describe it in hz but i dont know frequencies. Should I just tune it to 33 like Fi recommends or should I be a rebel and make it 30 Being a rebel is avoiding ported at all Not really. One of my favorite test materials has a 16Hz organ tone in it - try it in a very low-Qtc sealed or IB alignment and a ported box tuned to 30Hz and see what plays it better

- Which vehicle to do a setup in
I think having any sort of blowthrough or wall in a daily-driven vehicle is a dumb idea, personally... How about doing an SQ setup and still being able to drive/haul stuff in it, any time you want without losing cargo space?- Thinking of a single 15
If you really want a "thump" (thereby ruining the SQ potential), you can get that from either the Mag or the Icon. I've heard the Icon in infinite baffle, which is basically a very low-Qtc sealed alignment...it sounds great. Very accurate, and goes down to the limits of audibility and beyond into the infrasound range without complaining. It's all in how they're installed...- Spring Showdown in Roanoke Virginia
Just some things I liked...which were outnumbered by the hideous things a lot These were all the same vehicle...DLS Nobelium tweets & midbasses, Iridium midranges, Arc XXK's, Morel Ultimo 12". Deanna Bogart sounded absolutely amazing.- Welcome to the IHoP

Every weekend, more or less...- Welcome to the IHoP
I still love those DLS Nobeliums. Oh, and that new Morel Ultimo 12" is one damn fine subwoofer.- Spring Showdown in Roanoke Virginia

I've got a few, let me run a few through Photoshop- Midbass
What size are you going with, and what's the mounting depth you have available?- Q vs. anything
For pure SPL, sure... Won't be very musical at all, at least without a front stage to speak of- Project over the past month.
Interesting Although I bet that spacing shown in the picture is wayyyy too small to get a good image out of them What kind of crossover did you use?- Welcome to the IHoP
accurate? Apparently.- Welcome to the IHoP
Mine just won't die in a way that'll cause me to replace it. Right now it's getting a loose connection somewhere inside, the soundcard seems to crackle in and out as I move the screen back and forth...guess with the amount that the fan's on, it's amazing it's lasted four years...- Dual TC-3000 15"s & Orion 2500D
Looks...peaky? - Which vehicle to do a setup in
