Shorted out Sub/Amp?..messed somethin up
Something is fishy here...first of all, the battery should never have moved, that's priority #1 to fix... #2...I can understand if you get a bad set of interconnects, bad QC happens, but 6? What was wrong with the previous five? That smells like an underlying installation problem if you're changing cables that much.

RE sub
Don't use a 12V amp at home, do it the right way You don't have an exaggerated cabin gain in a room in the same way you have it in a vehicle, so tuning that high will likely lead to something very peaky sounding, much more so than in a vehicle. I thought the SR did best sealed when I heard it, but that's just me

First Comp
DCR is not nominal impedance... If you want to know what your actual impedance is at 37Hz, you need an RMS clamp meter to measure current accurately...which with 6kW in amps I would hope you have already.

Thinking of a setup????
I can't agree with Fi being that much better of a choice, given no budget constraints. I'd rather have the JL. Do you need to go with all new stuff, though? You could get a lightly used 12W6v2 and Slash series amp for much less than that online. Or a Sundown amp and a W6v2.

BL 15 problem
Do you have a DMM? There are some tools that are necessary if you want to do DIY things in audio, and knowing voltage, impedance, and current is crucial Unless you have a shop do everything, that's something you'll deal with in every audio setup you'll encounter. It's also possible to set your gains solely by ear, but picking up distortion isn't the easiest thing at first for subbass.

8 cubic foot box.
Cubic feet = (Length * Width * Height)/1728 (in inches)...get out a tape measure, plug some numbers into that and you should get an idea of what you're dealing with

BL 15 problem
Doesn't tell me anything...how much power are you sending it If you don't know, that's clue #1 that there's a problem. Get a true RMS clamp meter and don't play it loud again until you can answer that question with a specific number Check your amp's manual for mention of a subsonic filter, as well, and turn it on. 4cF is on the large end of Fi's recommended range, it doesn't surprise me you're bottoming it out if you don't know how much power you're running and don't have a SSF set with an enclosure tuned that high...

8 cubic foot box.
I assume you measured out how much available space you have, and that's how you came up with that number for the woofers you have? Otherwise, I'm lost here

8 cubic foot box.
Like something that's 8 cubic feet in volume? There's an infinite amount of ways you can arrange height, width and depth to come up with a certain volume.

BL 15 problem
How large is your box? How much power are you sending the speaker?

Welcome to the IHoP
It goes back to the original intent of the stock market, to provide long-term capital investment for companies...not for day trading or short-term profits or idiots with six computer monitors watching up-to-the-millisecond quotes. It's a perversion of the system... I don't know if I could ever use a stock investment as something to rely on...maybe just throw $1000 in to something if I could afford to lose it. But certainly not something as important as savings for later on in life...

Transmission Line box
Interesting, reminds me of a BIB with the driver going the opposite direction It's still not a transmission line.

Of course, adding nearly a trillion dollars' worth to our national debt in one piece of legislation doesn't help our cause, either.

It doesn't impact it directly, but if foreign investors thought things were bad enough they might start dumping those securities on the market in droves...and things could get really interesting. I don't think we'd have Weimar Germany-style hyperinflation with wheelbarrows of cash to buy loaves of bread, but who knows

Transmission Line box
Sounds like a marketing term for some kind of horn, which is not a T-line. It depends, I've seen lines that end up in the same direction or are straight, all depends on where they're going.

Transmission Line box
No. The best way to do that would be a traditional ported enclosure with a removable port insert for changing the tuning. I'm a big fan of TL's, but trunks and SPL are two things I'd say they don't do very well, if at all
