I haven't had to write a properly-formatted paper in about four years

There's a website out there that will automatically do citations for you if you enter in author, name, publisher, all that good stuff. Google it, I can't remember the URL off hand. But it saved my ass in HS when they cared about that kind of stuff.

    You and me both.

It sounds as if it is just burned as data on the disc, in which case there is no EAC required; it's virtually just a copy and paste dealie from the disc to your target folder. Sweet. One more question you probably know the answer to...I got a bunch of stuff in a CD image format...so there's one huge FLAC file and .cue sheets. How do I go about breaking it up into individual tracks, do I have to burn it to CD using the .cue and rip it like that?

EAC can rip audio off of DVDs, yes? Someone's sending me a DVD of FLAC files I was looking for, not sure if EAC can rip it though. Don't see why not, I have a DVD-RW drive on the laptop.

Looks a lot like someone I knew in HS, actually. She was a treehugging hippie but fun to be around at times

I would agree with both Listen to vinyl, buy good beer? I like that philosophy.

What's the average listener? Figure that one out and you're set for life... Since both getting loud and sounding good are totally, completely, utterly, and 100% subjective terms, I really can't answer that for you. For me the answer would be easy - the Q. Would easily get loud enough to suit my needs, and have the accuracy I need.
  16. I am God. That is all.
  17. I liked the old BM's...they were very honest drivers

I don't see why they wouldn't excel...for movies or for music.
  19. I'd be worried what that would do in an SPL situation, but as long as you're not concerned about getting every tenth of a dB out of the box I don't see what's wrong with it...you could try other tricks like stuffing it with polyfill or using an aperiodic vent in order to squeeze out enough in one enclosure...
  20. As much as I hate CarAudio.com, there's a pretty decent writeup there in the Speakers subsection, titled "Sound Deadening and You"...that goes over the basics on installing speakers properly. It's not just as simple as slapping them into compatible holes, but it's not out of reach for a beginning DIYer either...you can handle this.
  21. Beefy little suckers, although I hear the upper midrange leaves something to be desired...so ideal as a dedicated midbass in a 3-way.

I had a 4-CD set from Oink...with the crop circles on the cover...this is a different one though.
  24. JimJ replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I don't ever remember it being on Oink either. There's a 10-CD box set from Hendrix that I need to replace too, it came up as MP3 on Re-Upped but I'm hoping someone on ST puts the FLAC one back...

Glowbug...I put in the request for the complete studio recordings box set from Zeppelin. It's $90 from Amazon, I figure somebody out there has it that can upload
