  1. I'd order it with a dual 2, I'd be very skeptical of the half ohm rating...
  2. Turn it down?
  3. Why do you want to run more power?
  4. Stossel maybe took that a bit too far, but unless nobody lives in those 4 blocks I agree with the premise.
  5. I heard a dB Drive Platinum 12"... Hated it. Really non-musical to me.
  6. Considering most people are horrible judges of distortion, I don't think that would work. I think you're confused about this...there's nothing that says SQ has to be quiet. Why do you think line arrays and horns that take up people's empty rooms are around Reproducing a full orchestra, for example, takes an assload of efficiency to get to those levels without distortion. That's not what compromises the sound. Where you start running into compromises is when there's a bloated, peaky substage that was never there in the first place...or speaker placements that ruin any chance of a coherent image...

I know of an 8" that'll go from 55Hz to well over 10K, that's under $200, but to get that bottom number you're talking about some big boxes

Not sure how many of you can listen to baroque, but Czech Radio released Bach's complete Brandenburg Concertos in FLAC, which I thought was pretty cool. They also put out the MP3 versions for those not yet enlightened. http://www.rozhlas.cz/d-dur/download_eng
