"Something small" = you'll blow them. Bullets will at least give you that harshness without exploding.

I don't know what they are, but they sound like ass. I'd just buy an assload of whatever Madisound or Parts Express has on clearance. They usually have bullet tweets or cheap domes for under $10.

It's still going to be really hard to get a stable image with dual tweeters and midranges... Honestly, I'd probably run horns and combine your upper and lower midrange drivers into one set of drivers that could go from 100Hz to the horn's crossover point. At least that way you could have a chance at getting a stable high frequency stage...and you'll distort those DLS tweeters well before you'll drive a HLCD into distortion.

I don't know what kind of MDF you've been using, but any of the stuff I've used has torn up saw blades faster than even 13-ply cabinet grade plywood. A lot of horn builders choose plywood over MDF, for its resonance characteristics...so it depends on the application.

I'd choose the Morels.

Just thought about something...if you have any right-angle clamps, that'd be sweet. I don't have any, just regular bar clamps...a couple right angles would make this a breeze.
