Best SPL Sub
If there was one best SPL sub, wouldn't you think everyone who competed would be running it?

crossover for behringer ep1500
It's a seven channel receiver.

12's doing great with about 1.1 cu.ft. ported?
My e12a.22 is one of the smallest box subs I've seen, and it requires 1.5cF per woofer, ported.

Price of 750gig drives is still a little much for me right now

Of course, if I had the room I'd like I would put the amps on butcher block floor stands, but there ain't no way that's happening in a college apartment

Bah, just throw together a Flexy-Rack and be done with it Don't worry, no matter how big you build it, as soon as it's done you'll be wishing you had more room. At least that's how mine turned out, I didn't count on the amps needing as much clearance for dissipating heat as they do

As long as you can seed stuff, it's the best source I've found online for lossless albums.

New Setup
A single port is easier to build from the standpoint that you only have one chance to make a mistake, vs. two ports that could be built slightly differently. As for the round/slot port decision, that comes down to how much port area you need and what you like aesthetically. Sometimes it's just easier to integrate one or the other in an install.

Sean, you interested in an Oink invite? I've got a few more, and I'd rather they go to SSA peepz first...

Hush you... Ah, OK. I don't make it out that way much...I know a few people that go to UNC-G but that's about it.

If I had 14' high ceilings I'd build a set of T-lines Argh...

need some creative ideas here for my room
1) I'd probably go sealed instead. Not that a bass reflex design would sound bad, it'd just be silly IMO to have all that low frequency potential and waste it. 2) I wouldn't do the desk idea either. Unless you live in something the size of a dorm room, you should be able to find enough room. If it were me, I'd run them next to the mains as a stereo pair But then again, you have a surprising knack of taking the worst choices out of the ones available, so I expect to see a build log of a dual 18" desk sometime in the future.

Whatever happened to those sexy drivers?

Just ordered some sound deadener.......
Being asphalt based, you might not get adhesion as good as butyl-based products. And it might smell after installation. But YMMV.

Need box help........
The QTS of a driver has nothing to do with where you should tune the enclosure...

Back seat box, need tips/pointers
I'd fire both subs and port forward...unless you're going with smaller drivers, you're going to have problems getting the kind of port area you need and still keeping it under the rear window line.

ebay box
If you were looking for a sealed enclosure, going with a pre-fab wouldn't be as bad of an idea...if it's ported you're after, I wouldn't recommend it.

sundowns 1500 vs kicker 1500
Front stage > tint/alternators

Back seat box, need tips/pointers
Why not build a wall, if you're going through all that trouble removing seats, bolting the enclosure down, etc...

Best Components Under $800
Sean (///M5) has plenty of experience with Seas products I don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices in speakers you've mentioned...they'd all have the potential to sound phenomenal.

I've stopped caring enough about the setup in the van to change anything right now Sell the van and completely start over. I'm holding onto it as a future SPL platform Couldn't put up with that on a daily basis though...
