Dewalt Drill...
I'm not a big fan of Dewalt tools. As far as drills go, I have a Milwaukee cordless that's a couple years old, has a metal keyless chuck that I like a lot...the newer ones have plastic ones, which feel really cheap to me. When I need power, I use a Hitachi that's probably two decades old...corded, keyed chuck and all...but I can't kill it. Worked great for drilling into the van's sheet metal

Welcome to the IHoP
I haven't read CA&E since their abomination with SI. I was flipping through The Absolute Sound a few days ago, was funny...almost totally an all-analog issue. Like seven or eight cartridge reviews, two turntable reviews, bunch of new LP releases...to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if they got a call from Mark Levinson complaining about it

Cute drivers. I still have these 3" Auras sitting here, one of these times I'm up in WV we'll build homes for them...

FI Q vs Kicker L7
The install/environment is the most critical aspect in SPL. Regardless of the products used.

Actual Power Output of Behringer EP2500?
I'd rather go with a Crown...or QSC...

Who would do a 20"?
Listen to some Tchaikovsky or Orff and see if you still think "audiophile" equals "weak bass"

SSA ICON 12" PRODUCTION IMAGES
I'm very tempted to pick up a pair...just not sure if I have room in my apartment right now for what I'd do with 'em.

Cone Getting Hot
Means that the amp is not happy with the preout voltage it's getting When you overdrive an amp, nice clean sine waves start to look like this: Much more power is being dumped into your speaker than you may think in a condition like this. The purpose of a gain knob is to match the amp's input stage to the voltage coming out of the head unit, so you can turn the volume up on the head unit without having the amp start to clip.

SSA signature banner
With all the new manufacturers and changes here at SSA...time for a redesigned sig banner? I know I'd use it on the other forums I'm on, and there are people better @ Photoshop than I on here

Cone Getting Hot
Sounds like you might be clipping the amp...easiest way to check that is to find someone with an oscilloscope and look at what the waveform is doing. Back the input gain on the amp down a bit.

Enclosure/Port Questions Q18
http://www.passdiy.com Check out "El Pipe-O"...sounds like a transmission line with a long line length is what you're looking for. A 30cF box is technically IB, sure...but it's past the point of practicality. Just not a good way to go about it.

Dewalt Drill...
Out of any power tool you could buy, a drill gets used a lot. And usually gets a lot of abuse in the process.

SUV Choice
Rockcrawling's a sport, I guess I'm not exactly sure what kind of "sport" an Explorer is good at, but whatever it is, I'm willing to bet the Mog does it better

I've got a four foot airbrushed flower, beat that... Somehow, I see Ramos pulling up in a hot-pink Beetle with those daisy wheels, just to do it...

Zapco Reference 1100.1 Vs JBL Gto1201.1
Just because you have that kind of power doesn't mean you need to run it full-bore, all the time. Unless you have a tiny alternator, a single 1500D shouldn't pose any problems...

2 Mj 18 in a Bass Reflex box for DJing
A lot of designs model horribly, yet that doesn't reflect what you hear in real life. They're not completely useless, but you have to know the limitations of the program... Certain manufacturers have, at times, placed a lot of reliance on modeling over reality and ended up with pie on their faces. It's what you get if you're too tied to the computer instead of the table saw
