Running into people you've interviewed with when they're drunk (and you're not) is a funny experience... I'm still here Klipsch's are sold, and I have pictures of their replacements in the home audio section Well, the speaks anyway, cabinets are still a work-in-progress...

Anything NASCAR just looks mundane.- Must-see Movies
I guess I'm one of the only people that finds Will Ferrell to be supremely unfunny...I can tolerate Ben Stiller in Zoolander but I laugh more at the people who make cameo appearances in that : Guess I need to add something useful... 2001 Touch of Evil Blow A Few Good Men Monty Python and the Holy Grail Easy Rider Bullitt The French Connection Dr. Strangelove: Or, How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb Patton Chariots of Fire- Welcome to the IHoP
Dang, a Tube surround sound processor... I'd rock it.- Welcome to the IHoP
You need another hobby Capt. I could see the Capt. as a demolitions expert- Welcome to the IHoP
I got called two years ago, night before they cancelled it before I needed to go in though. Knowing my luck, I'll get called this year for the double homicide of a friend's parents...would be a quick voir dire though..."Yeah, I went to school with the defendant and dated his sister for a bit..." Thank you, you can go now.- Hd 62 CDT comp set
What are you looking to spend?- Welcome to the IHoP
lol two shots = *thud* ? fine by me- Welcome to the IHoP
Oh, I'm so disappointed I do want to try Ramos' 'shine...- How did you guys find SSA???
Very nice looking truck...- Welcome to the IHoP
http://www.carstereos.org/gallery/showimag...=4398&c=188 Got wires?- 2 12" ssd's or one BL?
Where did you hear that from?- uh oh, i have a problem
That's another reason why you aren't getting much output Subsonic...if you have a ported box, generally 5Hz below tuning is a good place. If your enclosure is tuned below 35Hz or so, you probably won't need it turned on at all. If you have a sealed enclosure, you definitely don't need it on. Phase is one of those things that you can fiddle with, there's no absolute right answer. Try it for a while one way, reverse it and see if it sounds better/worse.- Pre-amplifier Options
I also hesistated on it because my amps have wood sides, the cabinet is wood, the last thing I needed was a wooden preamp Parts Connexion (sp?) has the big sexy aluminum knobs- Pre-amplifier Options
Looks good! Anything with tone controls gets sneers from the audiophool crowd...eff 'em, probably sounds great- uh oh, i have a problem
What comes out of your amplifier is not DC I'd set the low pass filter to somewhere around 70-100Hz, the exact frequency will vary based on your install and listening tastes, but I try to fiddle with it until I can't hear where the sub is coming from.- Pre-amplifier Options
Google Promitheus TVC. People seem to love 'em, I was considering buying one until the ARC SP-9MKII came along and blew that budget out of the water There's a guy on another board I'm on who's selling a Counterpoint SA-3 tubed pre for $300, I asked for pics, might be another good option if it's in decent shape.- uh oh, i have a problem
Do you have the meter set to volts AC? Sub preouts aren't turned off on the head unit? Crossovers are set correctly?- What to look for in a car audio battery?
Cranking amps refers to the short-term current delivery of the battery. I'm sure they were thinking in terms of AH when they flipped, as singular 2000AH batteries are huge and uncommon...that would mean it can output a constant 100 amps for 20 hours straight- New peekas
Madisound Not really a TL, a horn http://www.zillaspeak.com <- Go there and check out the BIB's...that's the design.- Pre-amplifier Options
I see used Adcom pre's selling for under $300 all the time...you can probably find used Bottlehead Foreplay 2's on Audiogon for under 3 Benjamins, but that may be too nice for what you're using it for Passive "preamps" have their own quirks, using transformers instead of just pots gets around most of the output impedance problems but the cheapest TVC I know of is the Promitheus TVC....gets rave reviews but at $320 is a little higher than your budget. - *Official* CA Junkyard/BE Stereo San Diego forum meet !
