With a 2 ohm DVC driver, you're looking at either a 1 ohm load if you wired the VC's in parallel, or a 4 ohm load if you wired the VC's in series. Problem with buying low quality amps is that they may not do the power advertised...so that "600W" might end up being something far less than what you think. If you're going to go with that kind of budget, Profile and Aura both make a decent product that does very close if not on rated power. I don't think I'd make the same claim for Crunch or Boss unless I had the amp available to bench it

amp bases done, as usual the second took about half the time as the first. Now madly rearrange the living room and hook everything up...Pics in an hour or two. Tom just gave me a call, he's in NC somewhere...so maybe two, two and a half hours out. The weather still sucks out here.

My Tantrums will cause the radio noise floor to increase by almost 40dB from about 50MHz on down...even on FM which is naturally noise-rejecting. On AM and single sideband it's horrible. The upper VHF and UHF bands seem to be unaffected... But I don't use the radios on the lower bands and have the amps on anyway, because I get nasty feedback through the speaker wire acting as a nice pickup loop Once again, 2 meters and up works fine. Strange.
