Wireless card recommendations
Hey all - I'm looking for a wireless card that's reasonably priced that has an external antenna connector - I've got a 60cm dish doing nothing that would make a perfect Wifi link to the campus network, if I built a patch feed for it. All the cards I've seen that do this and fit in laptops are over $100, anything cheaper out there? Thanks.

REALLY loud daily?
Running a 5kW daily driver would be, IMO, a waste of money if you don't even think about entering shows. I could see 2.5kW and a pair of SX's, easily. That's far more practical

Just a little Chitaudio.com reference ngsm_13 always signs his posts "nG", and has a habit for saying "Tits" or "chit" or "Piss" randomly.

Perfect for what you're looking to do. Tune your enclosure in the upper 30's/lower 40's...

Spectrum Analyzer (R.T.A.)...
Behringer makes a nice 61-band unit for around $300, IIRC...all you need is a flat-response mic to go with it.

Doubling power, if you aren't running into power compression, will just be noitceable by ear...however, unless you have significantly more cone area, you're likely to be pushing the drivers to the point of diminishing returns. Power isn't the best way to get louder Just hope you realize that making a true 3kW daily driver is much more of an undertaking than simply getting a big box and stuffing it with subs...you're looking at upgrading your charging system to handle the higher current demands, possibly going with a dual battery system. And even for short periods of time, music played that loud will cause hearing damage

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showpost.php...73&postcount=20 bwahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha More like... 1. There's no point to being around a group that's dumber than you. Once you've hit the top of the intellectual food chain somewhere, it's time to move on, because you're certainly not learning anything new or interesting. 2. I have no desire to moderate or take part in a forum with an apathetic administrator that won't listen to our needs and shows no signs of putting the forum's well-being over the number of ad clickthroughs he gets. Doesn't fly with me. 3. See #1. 4. If you're not learning anything, than there's always a community to fall back on, right? A bunch of 16 and 17 year olds that apparently have failed high school English does not provide the sense of "community" that I'm looking for, and I've lost any humor that once came out of that... Feel free to post that if so desired

Check your local laws concerning rear view mirrors...I know commercial vehicles are exempt wherever you are, but you may not be if you're in a regular passenger vehicle.

You say the only issue is the dustcover being cracked? Interested in selling it?

The '680 isn't too bad of a cart for hi-fi, better than the 500's. What kind of condition is it in? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Stellar condition other than the cover being cracked. The other one that I sold was a little more roughed up. I just assumed the 680 was a bit hard on the vinyl, but again I originally bought these to spin. In my next house hopefully they will be just used to play/output to digitize music. I still need to be a pre-amp though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, the 680 has a really, really low tracking force, somewhere around 3/4-gram to 1.5 grams, according to Needledoctor. The SL1200 can track up to 5 grams, but there's no real need for that unless you like wearing records out early

Back for one bit. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=150157 Although I would be absolutely livid if someone did this to me, and would own the guy afterwards... I did get a chuckle out of it
