Tissue and sharp metal things don't generally go well together. Doesn't the deck have a wiring pinout on the top of it telling you what each wire does? I'm not familar with a big green wire for Alpines, the only green wires I know are for the high-level (speaker) outputs from the internal amp. If you're not using the internal amp, I can't think of a green wire that's there
