If they're under ~2.75", you should be good.

Welcome to the IHoP
Oh, I glanced over on CA.com to remind myself why I'm not posting there... Sweet. Holy. Hell. Has everyone lost their mind? Or did I just give too much credit to some people?

Nuprene for sound dampning
Deadening is a PITA anyway, even with the adhesive backing Using Super 77 makes it even more tedious..and is much, much harder to get off your doors if you fudge up, vs. butyl rubber that can generally be pryed off with a heat gun and some persuasion.

Nuprene for sound dampning
I used 1/8" black Neoprene to cover the acrylic baffles in my doors...shown here. It very well may do the same job that Dynamat does (the stuff's heavy as hell), but the lack of adhesive could be an issue. Personally, with RAAMmat being as cheap as it is, no reason to try to half-ass it with a compromise.

Welcome to the IHoP
I wonder if Nick would sell me a spare basket for a 15" Mag so I could get it powdercoated locally, and then have him build a sub with it

Welcome to the IHoP
I'm seriously thinking about getting a very high output SQ moofer for the spare 15" sealed enclosure I have...it's just too good of a box not to do anything with. I'd probably want to sand it down and take it to a local Line-X shop and have it finished right, but it would make a nice low Qtc SQ box for something.

Amp for Rl-p?
I almost guarantee you'll be happy with the output from the single amp, but as long as you have the amps to begin with, why not use them?

Little discussion on reducing vibration
Basically, I'm trying to think of the most cost-effective way to build a shelf that's rock-solid steady for my turntable. I've been floating a lot of ideas around in my head, from "floating" a piece of MDF in a little sandbox-type thing, to several layers of MDF on soft rubber pads, to wacky ones like a suspended magnetic table (most likely not even possible). So...I'm trying to brainstorm, need ideas for a table that's immune to vibration and help to deaden the internal vibration from the unit itself.

Not enough of a displacement advantage with the Mag for me to want to upgrade...unless Nick really wants to sell an Uber for $250

Did this completely die? It would figure, now that I can actually afford one, heh.

Anyone in USACi here?
There's a sanctioned USACI show about an hour and a half from here this weekend, thinking about entering in the "Consumer Q" class...anyone here have experiences with USACI SQ? I'm pretty sure the "Q" classes are just soundstage judging, no install, but I'm not sure. What are some things I should look out for so I don't get completely stomped? Thanks in advance.
