comps?
In every single car I've been in with an actual front setup, I've never had a problem hearing anything in the back seats. I personally will not give 5c of consideration to anyone than Number 1, the driver when designing my system. But regarding rear speakers, my impression is that they are just meant as fill, like the rearspeakers in a 5.1 home cinema system, but I'm probably wrong. The rear speakers in a 5.1 surround setup actually are discrete encoded channels...not quite "fill".

When you go to a concert, are the performers behind you, or in front?

Amp for HAT L61-2
And considering that 600W is in the zone marked in red in the manual, why would you want it to? What it can "handle" is different than what's optimal.

The guy with the R75/6 down the road from me isn't quite down to my price yet, I have a feeling if it's not sold in another two months that $800 will disappear though
- comps?

second 1200.1?
It may, but if all you're doing is pushing the driver further into power compression without actually giving a noticeable difference, why bother? Ideally, you'd see a 3dB gain, and anyone who's competed in SPL will tell you that in real life the actual gain is much less. Your ears aren't that sensitive.

4+ Car garage? Where. I like it That is bad wording. I think it means parking for 4+, but it appears as only to be a 2 car garage. Even with the 3rd price drop, the $/^2 foot ratio is still rough. It didn't say how many square feet, or perhaps <-this idiot just didn't read it right. Year Built 1940 Sq Footage 1,956 Bedrooms 3 Bathrooms 2 full, 1 partial Floors 3 Parking 4+ Car garage Lot Size 16,640 sqft HOA/Maint $0 per month WWII houses are good stuffs. The house I lived in in MA was built in '42 or '43 and I remember how solid the frame was when we redid the kitchen...real 2x4's with square nails, no dimensional lumber and cheap fasteners to be found.

Finally, maybe they figured out that people that want off-road performance don't want 22's?

Computer speakers
I'd look into a kit from Madisound, or maybe building one of Zaph's designs.

Speaking about line arrays, this manufacturer apparently had someone back out of a deal for the demo pair of these at RMAF, and was selling it for $6500... http://selahaudio.com/id168.html Somehow I don't think even local pickup would drop the price down to where I could afford it now, even if I wanted to

Need help deciding on mids and highs
I'm a big fan of the full-size Morel textile domes As for midranges, if you can afford it, Scan Speak Revs and Hybrid L4's are some of my favorites. Don't worry so much about distance of the tweets from the midranges, I've heard some very good vehicles where the tweets were on the pillars yet the midranges in the kick. It's not about distance, it's about how they're aimed.

I wouldn't trust that amp to be very reliable at 3 ohms, much less 3/4 Leave it as is for now...

I'm back for now, sn00kums, at least until the bus gets here. Hey, if they're paying for it, one of those six-foot BG planars

Rears don't have any significant difference? Correct. Have you heard anything you like before? Just saying "crisp mids and highs" really doesn't give us a good indication of specific tweeters/midbasses you might be interested in...a piezo horn can be "crisp", but it's certainly not something most people would want to listen to for any length of time

What Would You Use To Power 4 12" SSA Icons?
If the impedance ends up somewhere feasible, the SAZ-3000D would be an excellent choice...

I remember the first time I saw Windows 3.1 on a color screen...the first time I saw Windows, my dad had an IBM Thinkpad with a monochrome screen, the only thing I had used before was DOS on a PC Jr... And now kids are getting cell phones in elementary school Had the Apple IIe's for first couple years of grade school for typing. You know your 'ballin when you have dual 5.25" floppy drives. Yeah, LOGO programming on the IIe's I failed typing. Ooooooh

Amp for HAT L61-2
Opinions? I'll search in the morning. I'm a bit tipsy atm I have both the larger 2-channel version, the 500.2, and the 1200.1 monoblock, they've worked great for the last five years
