In that case I would get two Focal Utopias in a sealed enclosure, or maybe an Aura NS or two I was actually looking at the focal 33wx but at 600 watts they are as powerful as i would like but the re. of 3.3 ohms is well...yea If you're worried about sounding good, power handling should be the last thing that's on your mind.

$500ish can get you usable speakers, but I wouldn't do my speaker shopping from Amazon. Check out Audiogon.com...you might be able to pick up a pair of Vandersteen 1C's for $600, which would destroy those Polks. Maybe Magnepan MMG's, although they require a little more thought put into amplification and room placement.

That's just the bike want to buy next year. For a new bike, I think they look pretty good...and they supposedly get really good gas mileage.

Argh, waiting on an email back from a guy with a GS500E for really cheap. Way, way newer than I was looking for but at the price he wanted I don't think I could say no. That and a CB750K2 project...but rebuilding carbs and fork seals/oil hardly counts as that much of a "project".

The Sundown is a fine choice for the price...sure, there are more expensive amps I'd probably consider "better", but I wouldn't consider them a better value.
