I doubt if they even have a handle on the true scale of it yet...the waters haven't receeded enough to tell.

For a preamp? The EL34 is a power pentode...duh. http://www.mclink.it/com/audiomatica/tubes/el34.htm The 274B is a rectifier. http://www.sophiaelectric.com/pages/se/274b.htm That's the only one of three you mentioned that has a scintilla of being able to work Even then, it might have too much gain... You n00b. Come back and play some other time...- Welcome to the IHoP
fudge digital. That thing is gorgeous.- Welcome to the IHoP

just need to find a workable preamp design... thinking something with octal-based tubes, like 6SL7's or something...oh well, that's a question for the gurus on Decware.- Welcome to the IHoP
Think I've decided on a turntable instead of a new sub...going to get more out of it long term. On a (somewhat) related note, does anyone have access to a CNC machine? Or is really good at cutting metal enclosures? If I end up getting a 'table, I need a phono preamp...which is something I can build. But I want to make the enclosure snazzy...nothing like a custom CNC'ed metal enclosure to start with- Welcome to the IHoP

teh Klipsch for teh win! Seriously...I wish an American company built speakers like this today for those kind of prices. You have to spend over $1000 to get anything comparable.- Welcome to the IHoP
