Cadence's Installed
I just got my cadence zx651 coaxials today in the mail and just finished installing them a little while ago. They look pretty good imo but it doesnt really matter since they are covered by the stcok grill. I would post a nice review but it really is too soon to say much with certainty. I did get to listen to a bit of an eagles live cd and i will say I was pretty impressed with these speakers considering I paid only $45. They arent amazing but they are a nice (cheap) upgrade from stock. The midbass is decent on these and the highs are pretty good too. They appear to be a tiny bit too harsh for me, but I am sure I can fix this with a little tweaking. I am also very tempted to buy an amp for these since the h/u obvioulsy isnt doing them justice. Heres some pics I snapped of them before I installed them.

I have no idead what the difference betweeen legal and outlaw is. What they did is tak the mic and placed it just above the right corner of the dash right up against the window. Does this help? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> windows up or down? door closed/open?? and yeah, read the link neon posted..lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> windows up, doors closed, mic on dash, engine on and reved no higher than 3k rpm, and 2 seperate 30 second runs to get the max score. I think that means it was legal(?)

Is $80 a decent price to charge someone for a unfinished sealed box ?

my voltage drops were coming from trying to pull 1k watts off a stock 90 amp alt, a dying battery and some thin stock wires. The a/c only made matters worse I didnt even realize it was on until tuan told me and it was only on in the second round which I hit the 145.1 in although I was pushing it a little harder that round too.

looks very good. Now get some 19's, grill, tint, lowering kit, exhaust, and an insane system (how can you not with a plate like that).

you gotta love that tuned to 25 hz. If I had a pair and the room I would definitely tune that low. Afterall 2 rl-p 15's tuned to anytrhing is going to be loud enough, Keep up the good work.

XXX has got nothin on the rl-p now The 13w7 cost more than my sub, amp, box, and wiring combined. I really think he got me because he probably had 100w more power since i was having gnarley voltage drops (and my a/c was on ), he was tuned higher, and he was in a hatchback which I have heard are great for spl. If you take away those advantages I think the rl-p takes it. I should stop speculating though. This only leads to trouble.

I got metered today and hit a 145.1 on an audiocontrol mike @ 45hz or so. I somehow managed to get 2nd in my class of about 5 which included an re sexxx, which I beat by .1, an re XXX which I beat by about 1 db and a 13w7 that got me by .7 db. Im definitly happy with results. I wasnt expecting anywhere near that with my low tuning.

I finally got around to carpeting it yesterday. Its not perfect but I think its pretty good for my first try. The biggest problem was a miscalculation and not starting on the bottom. For some reason I started on the back and then I ran out of room, so I had to use a an extra scrap piece to fill in the hole on the back. I ended up with 2 seams on the bock but its alright and you never really even see it.

Carpeting
i think im either gonna do it this way or do the way where you fold it over in the midle and cut the extra so you are left with an X for the seam. It seems kind of difficult though. Are the seams obvious when you jus put 2 pieces on the sides?

How do you guys carpet your boxes? I am going to be carpeting on saturday and was wondering what you guys think is the best/easiest way to do it.

I call first on waiting list!- some real knowledge here
Kent, I actually started there, 1st forum, then I found where I belong. I really feel sorry for N2audio, he is a good guy with a very decent amount of knowedge, and he is all alone. I try to answer any question that I can over there when I feel like helping, but I mean I really cant help some of them. I think I will PM N2 to join us. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that forum reminds of ecoustics in a sense. I started out there a little bt and it was really one guy who knew a ton answering an entire forums worth of questions. I kinda feel bad for all the retarded questions he puts up with and answers.- some real knowledge here
The h2h page is hilarious. I would be embarassed to post pics of some of those setups let alone "challenge" someone else.- For SQ.. Sub fireing direction
in my jeep the sq is better when pointing up, but this is really just due to the rear rattling when I fire it back. I think in any car that is properly deadened the sq should be the same regardless of which way its pointing. - "Ultimate Competition"
