  1. You didn't give us any goals or anything... Try giving us more details or we can't really answer you. P.S. 4.25cft and 49 inches of port is not very much at all for an 18. I would suggest getting a 15 or making a bigger box, but again we don't know if you can make a new box because you didn't specify a car.
  2. Well im thinking about lifting my truck (03 z71 avlanche) but i don't really know anything about lifting or where to get stuff to lift it. I just want it to be lifted and look good. Don't really go off roading but i probably will if i get the lift kit. Not sure what kind of lift to do (body lift, etc, etc.) Not sure where to get stuff (which sites sell quality stuff at the best prices or should i buy local) Not sure how big of a lift to get (what would you get?) Also not sure on what tires to get (just want something to look good but also like tires with deep treads, also should i buy online or local) Open to all suggestions and comments.
  3. Hmm, not to persuade you to get anything else... But if i were you i would get something smaller set up. Probably 2 subs max. Thats just a lot of stuff to put in a beetle. I don't think it would be that hard to get a beetle really loud.
  4. I just tuned my amp with the bass boost all the way up so even if i do decide to put it on it won't clip.
  5. probably end up making one if i cant find one today/ I just drilled 2 holes in the floor of my truck under the back seat and ran the cables through them. I didn't use silicone or anything to seal it up because i used a drill bit that was just big enough to let the wire through and its pretty much sealed.
  6. The above choices are good but with just the 2000D i would suggest getting a batcap 2000. I was going to get a XS d3100 but i was swayed to get batcap from a local car audio shop and i am very impressed with it. I am running a Saz-3000D off of one with the stock alt and its holding up strong. Although it drops to ~12 with steady bass it never goes below. I think 1 will be great with your set up. In the future i plan to get 1 or 2 more though and a HO alt but thats just cause im running 3k watts.
  7. I checked it out but i think im gunna stick with google. I like how google is basic and simple but ive been using it since ive been using a computer haha.
  8. Was gunna say the same thing. Change the fans to on the sides instead. 2 blowing on one side and 2 sucking on the other should be sufficient.
  9. 28-35 daily. As for competition you have to find out your peak freq and do a lot of test n tune. For square inches of port, generally between 14 - 16 per cubic foot is whats used.

    X2
  11. Whats the voltage like? Sounds either like the voltage is dropping or theres some problem with the amp ( may be a simple fix)
  12. Sounds good. Should move some air. Did i miss what kind of car its going in?
  13. Save for the dcon/sundown package.
  14. I wouldnt get it
  15. Search... I think its even stickied on one of FI's forums.
  16. Well ill share with you what ive gathered and maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in. Generally a higher tuning usually between 40 - 50 hz is used to achieve a louder tone. Usually youtr car will peak at a certain freq. Also by raising your tuning you could get cone/suspension damage if you dont set your sub sonic filter correctly. I would suggest not using your q for spl as it is more of an sq woofer (but by all means do what you wish). Anyways thats all i know. Correct me if im wrong.
  17. Nice job, that you or him in the pic?
  18. You wont be disappointed!

  21. Where in texas? We have quite a few texas members hear that might be able to help.
  22. Although i would like to try xs power batteries, i am very impressed with the batcap 2000 and plan to get 1 or 2 more before i decide to change companies.
  23. Doubt it. He went from cardiac arrest to coma to death. Atleast thats what the news said.
  24. Dead. We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50. Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back. A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive. We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911. La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead. Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
