  3. Okay, so don't use a cap but will a SAE-1200D be enough power or should i go with the 3000D? Will i need a new alternator/battery with the 3000D? Thanks, Drake

  5. Hey, from Lubbock, TX. Welcome to SSA
  6. Okay, so i am planning on getting 2 FI bl 15's and a SAE-1200D. Is this enough to power them? I want very loud low bass. Do i get the 1 ohm or 2 ohm subs? Do i need more than the stock battery and alternator to run the SAE-1200D? I am planning on using a 2 farad capacitor and doing the Big 3. Will my lights dim or will i not know that until i try it? Thanks again, Drake
  7. Okay so i am getting a new system and i have few questions. 1. Why would i want 2 ohm subs over 1 ohm? 2. If i run 2 Subs to a mono amp what ohm do i want the subs to be? 3. Does everyone use both voice coils of subs? Whats the difference between using 1 and 2 coils. Thanks, Drake
  8. wrong section please delete
  9. Check out the Fisher customs forum and the pound that sound forum. They both make custom enclosures.
  10. Ah, i didn't mean it like that. Thats not a goal i was trying to reach. I am just saying it can be heard in the house. I know thats not hard to accomplish but i never had a system like that. I always turn it down before i get in my neighborhood or before i park anywhere to not let people know i have it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  11. Check out my post in general car audio and let me know whatcha think.
  12. Found the site on a google site. Its now my favorite site. I have read so much info already. Amazing site, Awesome info.
  13. They are the 4 ohm, how should i wire this? I am not saying that hearing it inside of houses is a goal of mine i am just saying that it can be heard in houses and letting you guys know around how loud it is. Sorry for any confusion.
  14. Okay well i got into car audio about 6 months ago. I recently purchased 2 Diamond D1 12's, a 2 farad 2000 watt capacitor, and Memphis pr 100.2. I have all of the above installed in the back of my girlfriends explorer because im getting all new stuff for my car in December, this was kind of a test type install. I installed everything myself. I have a chitty box that they are sitting in right now. Just getting into car audio, i wasn't sure what to look for when buying a box. I just bought one that would hold the 2 twelves, turns out the box wasn't even caulked all the way around, its sealed by the way. I recaulked the whole thing and it sounds better now. Okay now that thats out of the way, time for the questions. 1. Does this stuff suck? 2. Im not sure how the subs are wired to the amp because i replaced the first amp i have with the memphis one and a local car audio place installed it. Its running on 2 channels. Is this the ideal set up? 3. I am looking at making my own box. What design will make my system hit the hardest? 4. It hits pretty hard and you can hear it when i drive down the street inside houses (even though thats not hard to do lol) but its not really hitting as hard as i want it to be. Do i just need to buy better stuff? 5. How much better would a mono/1-channel/d-class amp be than the one i have? Im basically looking for any info i can get on the stuff i have and also building boxes and such. I have been looking at the site and its awesome! It has so much information. Thanks in advance, Drake
