Many people run them at .5 and have no problems but the bad thing is you lose the warranty.

Is it the same as the xl? Thats what i have and i can measure it for you when i get home.

D1 can be run as 2 ohm or .5 ohm. D2 can be wired at 4 ohm or 1 ohm. Alot of companies rate their amps at 1 ohm. I would say a 2000D would run a fully loaded BTL nicely as long as it's the daily version. His is d1 though. Are you saying fot him to run his 2kd at .5 and risk it and also not be covered under warranty or telling him to run it at 2 ohms and get ~800 watts to it.

You can wire a d2 down to 1 ohm or wire your 1 ohm to .5 or 2 so u need to look at an amp that does 2000 watts at 2 ohms or risk running an amp at .5

Im assuming you have one sub and plan on only running one? Should have got d2.

I dont think you understand the purpose of each sub in the fi line up.

Therr are many good sub companies out there man. Why are you so stuck on fi. You need to research some subs imo. Check out ssa, sundown, dc, aa, mach 5, and incriminator. All good companies and you could end up saving some cash.

Just so you know if the bassrace your talking about is like competition bass race there are different classes and depending on the power/amount and size of subs/alts/amps you can be in different classes with people with similar setups so don't think you can just get a huge system and compete against people with walmart systems.

I found a batcap 2000 that i want to buy from them for around 260 shipped. Thats a good price but i haven't heard of them before. Anyone ever used them or heard of them?

Alright i think i got it. But i have a question. Why 2 fuses in between the 1st batteries positive and the 2nds? Edit - whoops i had why 2 grounds instead of why 2 fuses. Also i called autozone and they said they can charge a agm battery like a optima yellow top but one autozone in my area said it would take 12 hours to charge and another said it would take 2 or 3 hours doing a "triple charge." What should i do? Battery is a batcap 2000 btw.

Im getting a second battery soon for my truck and i was wondering how to install it. I know you wire positive to positive ans neg to neg but after i wire the batteries together do i run a wire from the second batteries neg to the ground spot on the amp? And i just wire the 2nd batts positive to the power on the amp right? I also plan on grounding the alt case, and both battery negs to the frame. Good idea?

Well that could be tuned to 32 maybe but you need to specify how many square inches of port you want or it won't sound good. Edit - and i mean specify to the box builder not to us.

What did you ask for when building the box? Did they just not do what you said? That port looks kinda small but im not sure.

Yeah you probably don't want to get a bass amp with a regular guitar. Think about it this way. Playing a regular guitar on a bass amp is like playing highs on a sub.
