  1. The z3 is built in the USA? Not China? Z v.3 is China NS is U.S Zcon U.S From what i understand z3's are still being hand built as of right now. I know jake mentioned recently about having them built by the same plant the sa's are but i don't think that's happened yet or will soon. Honestly the closest American made subs i know of are Fi but they all used imported parts in assembly. I know Fi has made a large effort in maintaining American supplied hard parts. Thus there increase in pricing recently.
  2. Well i got around to doing the base plate for one of the pods. It still needs another layer just wanna get the other door done and shaped then ill do them both at the same time. Also decided on different drivers since the other ones had such a limited range id more than likely have to run a large format tweeter to compensate. Peerless 6.5
  3. Sundown ftw! Killer flex man I'd like to hear it in person. Seems likea that box and port setup worked like a charm as well.
  4. Happy Birthday man!
  5. Your alternator is on its way out if you never see above 13v. It takes more voltage than that to maintain and charge an agm which you have.
  6. Looks killer man you've inspired me to make my own rca's. I had planed on it awhile back but now Ive gotta do it lol. Oh and i think alot of people severely underestimate what a Z can do they are seriously mean drivers.
  7. Well guys i got a small start on the door pods and got it screwed up for a test fitment. Over the next week ill make two fresh rings and get to fiberglassing them. I decided to go with four Dayton Audio RS180-4 7" Reference Woofers for the mid bass drivers if anyone has and suggestions on tweeters id much appreciate it. I was considering using 2-3 small full range drives up the pillars but im not sure if that will suffice or not.
  8. Thanks guys!
  9. Dude with the right box on that power a 145 will be easy to pull off. I really think you'll be surprised how much of a difference it'll make.
  10. Good job man! You did good for your first time.
  11. Finally got around to making the rear trim panel it really made everything look worlds better. Still working on some videos just been so busy lately.
  12. I can't say i had a bad experience with DC i got my alt in less than a week and its worked flawless for over a year now. It maintains steady voltage under load at 12.8-13.2 and supports 6k+ with a less than optimal 180ah of battery bank. Once this one pops or i need more ill be honest in saying singer or mechman provide far better options and pricing.
  13. As competitive as i saw my ex get its only a matter of time before daily turns into daily groundpounder for her lol. I didn't mind though gave me a reason to upgrade things and pass them down without getting yelled at........
  14. Yes I meant meades I have no issues with stevemead.
  15. ncacoates replied to J2phat4u's topic in Fi Technical
BL's can take gobs of power but its unneeded. 1k is more than enough to make it happy.
  16. Great first time! My ex got into it with me for while she has a pretty killer setup still. I'm sure with some work and more power you can squeeze a 145 out of that icon. Oh and on a side note smd should stand for suck meads dick that's about all the goes on over there.......
  17. z for ported sp4 i think has the ability to do both.
  18. Working on the video some kid was there taking videos said when he got a chance he would send me some links when he got them up. Im pretty much a loner in my area none of my friends are into audio so getting videos is a pain. Not to mention my car can be herd 5+min away as ive been informed so finding a place to let it rip is a pain in the ass.
  19. Went to a competition today and finally got it metered. Did a 153.9 on the dash windows down on music. I'm curious to know what this sucker would do on a tone sealed just couldn't do it today.
  20. Yeah nem its a DIY led fixture I built with 48 rebel es leds in a 2:1 ratio of royal blue to cool white.
  21. Yeah man i feel you i had a huge crash a year back that took almost everything out along with what would have been about 2k worth of corals if i sold them. Mines just a 75 but its killer setup that took me some time to build and acquire all the stuff. I do frag and sell as much as possible to get some money back. I also work out at an outdoor aqua aquaculture facility that one of my friends runs. I honestly enjoy the corals more than anything. Ill be sure to get you and bigjon some more pictures of the entire setup along with some close ups of some coral.
  22. Thanks man! Id say go for it but go in knowing its super addictive and i could easily make your ass broke quick haha
  23. This is what keeps my wallet pretty much empty most the time and keeps me from going all out on car audio. I rather enjoy keeping saltwater fish and corals but recently its become a sickness lol. Anyways here is a look hope yall enjoy! If anyone else keeps saltwater post up in here id like to see your tanks as well.
