Get a single fi Q 12 or 15.... If you're after the sound quality like you say you are you won't be disappointed!!! :-)

I would do an os alpine deck.. I used to live pioneer (premeir). Would only get 2ys ish out them... Just thought it was or normal to buy a a new head unit that often...till i got an alpine! Have it close to 8yrs!! Not. SINGLE problem...

So its a comp vehicle used as a daily driver..?? I like it but not a fan of such a nice car with NO room!! 2 ppl an ipod and 2 sodas and THATS it!! :-/. Haha

I think i may "maxed out" with the Q. Cant do a ported box. I mean its not like im NOT happy with it, think im just getting use to it! Lol and i know its capable of more.....

Output really isnt an issue... I just know the Q has more in it. I bought it back in 09, was going to do an install in my suv but it got totaled. Already had a system in my grand prix so i just sat on for like over 2yrs! Sold the old stuff i had n decided this past summer to run it sealed in my grand prix. Trunk opening isnt big enough to do a ported box..... Thats why fugured i would go with more cone area.... "sealed". Have though about doing 1 15 ported...

How do these two subs compare to one another..?? I am currently running a18 Fi Q sealed. Box is on the rather small side with polyfil but i know this sub is capable of more.... Seen the vvx can be ran in small sealed boxes and know the play lowend pretty good.. Figured i may switch from 1 18 to 2 15 due the fact of more cone area.... Amp is a mmats dhcx2200.1

Very true denim! That some killer amps yrs ago but when they started adding all the flashy stuff on appearance i knew they were goin dona hill!! Last good amps i know of were the daytona amps..

Id keep the mayhams... More power/new box and some trial and error u should get to 150.. 98.1145% of the installs ive seen a DD is a comp car or a burper... Lol. The 3 i have heard that were just daily setups dont really sound that good imo.. Atleast to my liking! Ya they get loud but.....
