  1. afaik they haven't made it into production yet.
  2. Basket is the same finish as an IDMax, interesting to see woven tinsel leads on a SPL sub too.
  3. so you are going to make this more difficult huh? i'm definitely a sucker for output so i'll probably save up for the Q10. but i do hate the rolloff from ported boxes so now i'm really stuck. editx2: gonna go with the sealed SSD 12 copper coil, dual 2.

how well does the sub handle "quick" notes and transients? also mine will be in the cab of my truck with me so is there any mechanical noise? i had a treo ssi that was awesome when in the trunk but very mechanical sounding if in the cab with you.

i'm sold, SSD 12 copper coil soon to be on the way.
  6. 800w @1ohm and the sub would be sealed, flatwind doesn't seem neccessary. also thinking about a Q10 ported because i've always had a thing for single ported 10's. going behind the seat of a reg cab Ram, would have around 1-1.25ft sealed, or up to 1.25 net ported.
  7. Just looking at the ssd's and noticed the option. my guess is increased power handling but i could be way off.

keep me posted on the proto's you will be selling, i really wanted that q10.
  9. first ed bashing aside and now unbiased speculation, you like to ask a lot from people replying to these threads, lol. anyways i think there are around $300 a piece, not bad if one will do the job but i'd be afraid it wouldn't have the output. only the people who've heard it can say for sure.
  10. I personally never had any problems with them, of course i did make sure everything i ordered was in stock, something you should do everytime.
  11. They ARE cheap, i was saying they are probably worth $125. what do you expect for that price? the crossovers actually look like the ones made by Helix on the outside anyways. and you are saying it didn't sound louder than an equally rated amp by ear, what did you expect, double the output?
  12. just checked your birthday and now i understand your posts. have you ever owned any ed products? the amps are pretty good and bench tests have proven they are underrated. how do you know anything about the crossover? have you seen it in person or tested one? i didn't think so, i'm not an ed fanboy by any means but i find it stupid to bash something you have no experience with.
  13. i'd say they are probably worth $125 and leave it at that.

    Welcome to SSA!!!
  15. Probably not. We still haven't received the Tara Labs wire that we sent out months ago. I'm not letting another item leave our place due to that, and also due to the condition of the proto Mag when it came back. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Understandable, its a shame people can't do better than that when you put out the effort to get your product out there.
  16. can someone(flakko) get a pic of the crossover section along with the specs for frequency and slopes? thanks in advance
  17. the truck is very new, i'm buying a commuter car though because gas is killing me in this thing and with the situation over in the middle east i think its only gonna get worse. looking at a civic coupe/base rsx something along those lines.
  18. looking at either 2 BM 10's ported or 1 Mag 12 sealed, i figure price will be about the same and box size shouldn't be huge issue. which would be a more efficient use of the power available?
  19. i'm looking at getting a new Civic Si, just not sure how they will hold up because honda alts and batteries are notoriously small.
  20. Jacob, how does your car handle the current and do you have any upgrades on the electrical system?
  21. sent some cash
  22. if they ever make a coupe i would consider one but i hate convertibles.
  23. 500w is fine, i ran one off a Mc500d for awhile and it got plenty loud, even sealed.
