Trans Am >>> Astro Being harassed by cops = no fun since when could a Crown Vic catch a LS1 TA? Outran multiple things on that trip back, Monte Carlo SS's, tried to run down an STS-V Cadillac, dead even with a Late model Mustang GT, outran a mercades SUV, and a few other things. Trip back was damn fun. Plus three of us are going down this time, and bitch seat sucks in the t/a. true, those seats are pretty much useless

I don't know about the size thing, but as far as horsepower loss, 1 hp = 746 watts. So, 300a at 14.4v is 4320 watts which is 5.79 hp. And that's assuming 100% efficiency. At 50% efficiency, which is still probably being fairly optimistic, you'd lose 11.58 hp.
