  1. In what sort of car? 99 Camaro SS it had the 2.73s right? I've heard of low 30's with them, but never almost 40 We are reeeeeally flat here. I can't remember what gears, but I think he was turning just over 2k revs @ 70mph in 6th. I think he has 4.10s in there now. the double overdrive helps quite a bit too
  2. nice work dude

  4. are you implying that my car is boat-like? Not implying, it is. Within 300lbs of my truck, even though that is pre-topper and stereo. yeah yeah, I know it's a bit hefty

  9. the Camaro's torque peaks at 1600 rpm, 235 ft*lbs hey, its only got 2700 lbs to move around lol Makes the M's 3900lbs seem a bit excessive. the Camaro's not much more than 2700... just a couple hundred more I'm pretty sure the Impala on the other hand is probably pushing 4400 with the audio stuff in it
  10. the Camaro's torque peaks at 1600 rpm, 235 ft*lbs And if you dynoed it today it would probably be 150ft lbs at peak. probably
  11. Spring compressors never make me feel like they are actually going to do their job. I keep feeling one is going to release on me. Funny since I don't ever really worry about my jack that much. i didn't use a spring compressor, just a jack under the LCA but I know what you mean, I'd trust a jack over the compressor too dangerboy, must be the hair yeah, I figured if the spring were to hit me in the head, my hair would cushion the blow but really I chained the spring to the LCA

  18. I've got 7.0 so this might not be exactly the same, but should be close. On the right side of the screen, one of the windows has tabs for History, Actions, and Tool Presets. Click on Actions, and click the Create New Action button. Resize something however you want them all to be done and save that action. Then do File-> Automate-> Batch, and that gives you a window to select the folder that you want to perform your action on. That sounds like it should work. Thank you!! no problemo
  19. yep
  20. firefox tells me it's 77 outside right now. I bet it gets to 90 though sometime today. stfu currently 108* outside
  21. I know, I really would love to meet all of you someday. There is a guy who I'm actually pretty good friends with that I met through a game. I've known him for at least 7 years and I've never met him in person. I don't want that to happen with my SSA buddies Wonder if Dave would mind 40 people over his house. his neighbors will really think he is in the mafia then

  23. nice is Physics II electromagnetism for you too? Much better because as a 400 level class that one seriously sucks!! a 400 level electromag class? I think I'll be avoiding that one....
  24. i think it sould depend on the vechile because some have all aluminon uni bodys etc but the one thing that i did hear is that with a negtive ground run you have a better chance of getting a ground loop. That's not really true as far as the mythical ground loop goes. It might happen if you had bad connections. But length of wire will have nothing to do with it. It does honestly depend on the body of the car though if you should run seperate grounds or not. Take a DMM and attach one lead to the positive of the battery and then attach one lead to your prospective ground point. Measure in Ohms. It should read as close to 0 ohms as possible. After you measure the chassis resistance run a piece of wire the length of the vehicle and then measure resistance off of it. Which ever is closest to 0 ohms is the grounding method you should use. uhh, you definitely don't want to use the positive battery terminal, instead use the negative one
  25. got the upper and lower control arms and all of the steering parts in place tonight on schedule for Saturday
