The Y-connectors were my initial idea as well, but I realized that wouldn't work. He would need 4 of them to turn 2 outputs into 6. There would be no way to get equal signal strength to all 6 of the ends. Actually, I guess that could be overcome with adjusting the gain for each pair of channels individually to match the levels. So I guess it would be doable, but a pain in the ass. My vote still goes for external.
