Guide to getting LouD with a wall tips
I got an idea for you to try, what about a signal processor with time delay. I have heard good things about them and have one coming to me wednesday, thursday the latest and will let ya know how it works for me. They are optimized when used with walls so I won't likely see as much of a gain as you would. Have you tried one of these? I am getting soundstreams XBP-10, seems like it could be a good fit for you.

First Bit of Testing... 32x SA-12s
I love the painful look on Jacobs face in the 1st vid. Looks like he is in agony. DJ is a trooper huh, all sealed up for a second I thought he was going to crawl INTO the chamber of horrors. Sick build guys, very impressive even on a computer screen. -Bill

New England SPL Competitions
Just a suggestion, invite your family to go with you, there are several spl competetors that bring family members (Brice and me for example) as they are good family events. I looked into the location this Sunday and its in a very good "part of the state" apparently. Not in say Bridgewater lol, wouldn't want the rents in Bridgewater as you might end up going home without one! lol Hope to see you at one soon, by the time I see you again I'll have new subs, amps, processing, more 1/0 and I am in the stock 3 now as of a week or so ago. woot woot As far as u getting louder without adding equipment, its very possible, every week this summer I went up db's and only added new gear once (not including this coming weekend) just by constantly making small adjustments and tweeks and of course lots of mic time, mic time/testing were the biggest factor to it. Thats why I owe so much to Dave L. and Steve for me getting louder (can't really thank them enough for their help). Marcus you need mic time and to come to chill with your new friends :-)

6500D vs. 2K6D
if they r so good why would he want to trade you? I've seen alot of modded amps go up in smoke, just food for thought...

Loudest you've ever heard
There's 2 guys who show up to alot of NESPL events that are @ 160, one of them over by almost 2 db's (legal new TL dash) This past saturday me and my mother sat in an Explorer with 4 orion hcca's in a wall powered by 4 RF 4000bd's, My mom is 62, she asked for more BTW he was at 157.6 later that night (legal new TL/dash). Seen a legit 171+ (420's blue van) but didn't get to be in it (yet), Today there was an astro van hitting 159 (.6 i think) that I got to be in with it playing some music. His floor boards hated life and CD's went flying like a bird @ one point. Mike Travasso's Explorer is pretty intense in person, from 15 feet away the ground pulsates several inches, makes the ground almost feel like jello. he was base racing mid to high 150's that day, tuned real low too, sound blew me away. Prob. my favorite sounding bass machine currently, that thing is retarded in all the right ways.

150+ music with a pr. of 10's?
I see what your saying, I kind of consider them "walled trunks", call it what I will that chit is loud, esp. for 10's! Can't wait to see some vid.s with the Stetsom going buck wild on those subs. GL this weekend Thorr in the comp. wish I could be there to witness the madness :-(

06 sebring build
Looks like a stout enclosure, nice work. I read on the "where you heard about SSA" thread that you learned about this forum from New England SPL's site, does that mean you'll be coming out to an event? Hopefully, 'cuz I'd like to see this in person. Hope to see you around, I'll be easy to pick out as I've been the only scion tc on tour thus far. -Bill

Orion 222SX
I have alot of personal experience with the SX and HCCA lines PRE 1997. After that I sort of retired from car audio. Yours looks like a post 1996 model so I can't say for sure but every orion amp I had was stable to .5 ohm for daily use. I specifically used the 2100 hcca, 2150 SX, 250 SX, 225SX and a few others I can't remember. Those things were monsters, true legends IMO. With good box rise you could wire most the amps I mentioned to .25 ohm for burps. Of course they are real old now so I wouldn't really suggest doing this with one now. You should mount it on a wall and enshrine it like the hall of famer it is!

epicenter ???
Your description of it just made me want to get one, and I don't even need one.

Chris' Wall Build in the Aviator vids p.35
I have dreams at night about builds like this! Hey Lucky, your in Ct. right? You know I'll be attending some SPL events in your state, gonna have to hit you up for a demo in this monster after its completion. Events or not it would be worth a few hour trip down. The car club I am in is based out of Ct. So I'll be there with some regularity anyways. Really looking forward to experience this...

Pork Chop's Grandbaby, borned 09/08/09!
Congrats porkchop, bet it feels good to let your nerves relax a little after waitng with huge anticipation. We all love our car audio and many other things in life but when it comes down to what really matters family is the only thing that counts. Happy belated birthday to your grand baby!

look what i did!!!
You deserve to have some good luck, and congrats. If I remember right in your status update you were having some "bad luck" recently right? In the world of karma things have a way of evening out. Guess good things can happen to good people.

look what i did!!!
The seller of that amp must have been so desperate cuz you know he was lucky if he got $200 for it, and probly not that much. He could have sold it himself for much more and quick. If I were you porkchop I'd scratch the serial # off that, cuz I'd bet its hot hahaha. I kid, I kid, but seriously who else would pawn that amp for so little for a quick buck I'd have to be VERY hard up for cash to do that.

NESPL night shows in NH
I just got done talking to my mother, plan on seeing her car with a full build in it for next season in A1. She won't make every single show, but she'll make alot of them. Thats so crazy, I nominate my mom for coolest ma in car audio. She wants full a SQ set up with a single ported 15, tuned lower then mine (about 36-8 hertz) in a smaller enclosre but with lots of port on 1000 watts. These are her words not mine, she just blew me away. She also just gave me chit for not having any processing WTF called out by a 62 year old woman for having no pre-amp! I'm having a weird day! How are Volvo S-60's for systems anyways, anyone seen one done up? Guess I got to start researching.

THATS SICK!!! Thanks man that put a huge smile on my face. Your front page looks insane if not intimidating for people without Dave's enclosures ;-) Now I just got to get some real power to that box to do it proper justice, I know the box can handle more then the subs can lol, that thing is bullet proof: every side is double walled and its smooth as velvet. So they said it was just for fun eeh? Aren't all SPL comps for fun? Thats cool of you to add it to your Independant section, I'll be sure to let them know thats how I found out about it, which is basically true since it was you who told me about it in the 1st place.Speaking of 1st place your 1st place trophies this past week keep getting taller, very nicely done sir. I also like that they say where the event happend

Yup, these are rain or shine, as far as I've heard the rain is a possibility during the day, but the evening should be fine. Music to my ears, thanks.

NESPL night shows in NH
I forgot about the other one, I'll give them a call today and see what kind of details I can get out of them. If it sounds decent I'll post the details on the website under the Independent shows. maybe I can talk them into running one of our shows next season. They def. should, I'll talk to Nas about it, and tell him what a great show you run, I've known those guys for 14 years. I'll try to get over there today or tom. the latest. Their box builder is gonna be pissed when he see my new enclosure tho hahahaha.

New England SPL Competitions
No Wall, I like the Mad Max mentality of the rules in that class. After having so many restrictions I want to be able to add 6-8 batteries, 8 kilowatts and run 4 15's in my little car lol. Time for me to start shopping for a H/O alt. I wonder if there are any podium rules NESPL, is there a db level that forces me to be outside of the car? I remember Mike T. from Team 420 sitting in his truck playing music in the mid 150's so I'm assuming I'd be all set...
