  1. I love in the 1st vid when the guy hops out and asks, "What the hell is wrong with you?! Sitting there like it's nothin'" you should post up the vid you got of the cute chick you acoustically rape and then told her it was the wrong song hahaha. her face was priceless
  2. haha ya you sparked all kinds of discussion. I would be shocked if you don't hit the 40's!! I'll be there early so we can do some fiddling if yu like to get ya maximized ;-) Looking forward to seeing ya there man, btw I would have never guessed your age, realized it when I read your build log after Raynam. Mean that in a god way, you carry yourself well my man. See ya Sunday, -Bill
  3. ya a trunked car can get to 145 but dave has more cone area then marcus and a smaller car, and he has alot more testing. I only have 1300 watts currently, soon to be more
  4. i didnt say that he would deff bust it but with the propber tuning and everything it could b possible with that setup basically, hey daves cavy is hitting 145 now with daves box 1500 watts and 1 battery but im not taking anything away from your 145 bill but vans are so hard to get loud you kno cause so much air space, but its the only vehicle ive ever done spl in i ccant wait for my second car so i can see how much different it will b to get loud everyone ive spoken to says that its a huge difference beteen a van and a car, but its sweet me and you have both improved dramatically this season it is awesome i cant wait till next year, wen we will b even better what are you talking about dude? I wasn't saying ANYTHING about your van, I was talking about Marcus' trunked car. Only thing I said about your car was think how hard it was FOR BOTH OF US to get any where near 145 on the new termlab, how much we both had to change and improve, how'd this get to be about you bro?
  5. dude, he hit a 136.8 @ Raynam, you think doubling his power will add 8-9 db? LOLOL trippling power won't do that likely, yes he added a battery in back, and that'll help alot however its in his trunk, right in the spot where we moved his box to get him that loud. I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Ask anyone with a trunk merely folding the seats down don't gain you 10 db's. Besides he had the seats down @ Raynam too. Now if he was keeping the car (he plans on getting an SUV next year I believe) then he could wall his sub in the opening and seal it up like Thorshammer and then talk about how he can hit 145+ I just don't want him to read this see you say how he should easily hit 145 and then be like WTF when he doesn't. Be like me Marcus, exspect very little and be pleasantly suprised when you CRUSH the meter, don't expect a big number and be dissapointed 'cuz you expected too much. Think about all you had to do to get in the 142's from your 138 Kyle, you dropped mad cash. Think about what I had to do to get to 145+ ALOT of tuning and new enclosure and a long list of chit. Dynamat, wire upgrades, battery, testing testing and more testing and more upgrades. All that said, I hope he does hit 145, would be very proud of him. I am sure I'll be impressed with the changes he has made irrelevant of what number he hits, cuz it will be a solid jump from his last score which is what its all about. Plus he's doing it the right way, he didn't wire the amp down before his electrical was ready and he reads chit hear almost daily to learn, I respect him for that (and for how he keeps his priorities str8, something hard to do at his age, was for me ayways) Marcus: come out this weekend man, will be a blast, besides looks like we have some wagering about to be going on about what # your gonna be putting up. Plus BOTH formats this weekend, down for a little slamming bass? You should do real well in your bass race class, we'll be in different classes for that, I am in SB3 and I believe you'll be in SB2
  6. I dunno its possible, remember he is in a trunk. Almost forgot he works too, busy guy, but between the 3 of those things I can understand why this would be his last chance to hit up a comp., which is why I really hope he makes it out!
  7. can't really answer for him but I am prety sure cuz of school and football he won't have anytime on weekends. I agree he has a bada** setup. He's going to crush his last score.
  8. No he got a deka and is at 1 ohm now. Marcus I really hope to see you there man, I know you mentioned a while back you planned to, DEF. come to this! got a little suprise for you as well, we'll both be blown away by the improvements i thinks ;-) Got a few ideas for ya as well, but will have to show up to find out muhaha

welcome, glad you signed back up
  10. Nice equipment!
  11. A fellow competetor in the league I compete in has one (DD) and does a 147+ in a trunk in stock class. The guy who runs the league has 2 10" Fi BL's and is over 150, in a blazer. They are both happy... until one of them breaks is all I am saying.
  12. Check my sig. out, no Fi in there :-) I do however have friends who ue both and are happy with them. Note I never put down DD's product, I simply said that all things being equal more cone area is louder. However I did bash on DD customer service, I'd be suprised if you find anyone who is honest that'll tell you DD has good CS. Both subs are loud as hell and thats a fact, break one and you'll be glad you got the Fi.
  13. Oh ya forgot to ask, what are your goals? SQ, daily ground pounder or for SPL competition? If SPL comps are in your future (and even if not) I suggest ditching that cap. They reduce the life of your batteries as you will have to recharge it after your initial bass hit. Your SPL will be higher without it, I know this from experience.
  14. Nice glad to see your addressing power issues 1st which is the proper way to do it. The 3500d is a very stout amp. I am sure you'll be impressed, they put out more then rated power on every bench test I have seen. For the battery in back I suggest not getting a yellow top, they seem ok under the hood but for the money there are battteries that are far better for the back.
  15. btw to the OP, I assume you are going to have some one else wire these subs up for you right? Also how's your electrical, and by that I mean what have you done to upgrade the electrical system of your car to support this monster amp? Big 3? extra battery? (i hope) Remember that even the best amp in the world will fail if its voltage supply drops to low.
  16. LMFAO I was doing the same thing, comp is slow tonight, its why you beat me!
  17. As much as I love 15's the whole reason I love them is the extra cone area they give over a 12 or 10, but 2 12's obv. is more cone area so I'd go for that, esp. considering customer service of the 2 companies mentioned. Fi's customer service SMOKES DD's customer service. I've heard some very bad things about DD'd CS from people I trust.
  18. edit you beat me to it lol fast finger'd J-C lol
  19. I have had that problem in the past, on mine the connection between the face plate and unit came loose due to vibrations. I have a simular problem now, it doesn't go blank but won't read anything as if a CD was skipping. To fix it I have to pop off the face plate and put it back on then its all good.
  20. On the new ride I mean of course, almost forgot you said you were getting new ride and thats why you were waiting for 1/0 gauge, just make sure your voltage doesn't drop too far with that 4 gauge so you don't hurt your amp. Sundowns are tough as nails but NO amp is invincable :-) So maybe a voltage meter mounted in a place easily read while slamming your beats?
  21. I'd plan on some Second Skin deadening, should make a big difference for your listening pleasure inside and out.
  22. screw the neighbors LOL i dont have to live with them but the wife was pissed over everything in the house shaking LOL LOL I use the "The more you beotch the more I test in my driveway" method, and it works well. I don't test too much and for short periods at a time and they don't complain. My biggest problem is that I live 1/4 mile from the police station, so I have to keep it short even if I wanted to do long tests. My animals in the house are glad of that fact though, they dislike it more then the police. As far as stuff on the wall, pictures are like records, they are made to broken lol.
  23. Nice roof flex on only 2 12's!!! Seeing the quarter bouncing brought back some awsome memories from the mid '90's for me, we used to have cash comps. @ Hampton Beach using quarters, highest one wins. We had to stop when the town made a very expensive town ordinance against "noise pollution" :-( Those 12's look freaken beefy, if I wasn't told I would have guessed they were 15's! Very bad**s. How'd your neighbors like the 4 min. demo? I know I loved it.
  24. It'll depend on what kind of milage you put on it but 6 months isn't too bad esp since you plan on beefing it up after that, but I wouldn't take it 4X4'n and I would take it easy on bad bumps, speed bumps, pot holes ect. How bad a tread do you have?
  25. All those SA amps are sexy looking laid out on the table like that! Lucky, what have you done to the vehicles suspension to handle all this insanity? Also have you considered upgrading the tires to ones rated for extra weight?
