Is he still planning to only stick with only one 15"? I agree wth the 2 ssd's as far as power matching, but that is still around the same price as a 15"btl. He should just wait and save to get the btl and a better amp.
  4. I have done a couple installs on Mercedes and I don't plan on doing anymore for a while. Like u said, the amount of hidden screws will drive you insane.
  5. I have a kinetik 2400 and I would definitely recommend kinetik. You don't exactly need one that big, but you could find someone on the forum selling one for a descent price.
  6. Wow. I thought he was joking too.
  7. The only thing I would want to trade my 1500d in for is a 2000d. Guess I will have to wait a while.
  8. Found my camera. Here are some better pics of the subs and the box. Dynamated the trunk lid. Still working on the rest of the trunk. Ooooo look that huge trunk. Probably wondering why I only went with one nightshade. Unfortunately I carry around a lot of crap around and still need the space. Sorry for the glare. It is bright and sunny here in Florida. Don't worry about the wiring guys. I will be cleaning that up after I take the carpet up and dynamat the floor. I got the amp in today. Yaaaaaaaayy!!! Will have some more pics on Wedenesday night.
  9. I have finally decided to start on a new setup. 12" Sundown Nightshade Sundown 1500D on the way Rockford Punch 500x 6.5 Infinity Kappa Component set 6x9 Infinity Kappas 0 Gauge wiring 1 Kinetik 2400 on the way I have already dynamated the doors and the trunk lid. It started raining yesterday before I had a chance to take pics. My girl lost my camera somewhere, so I had to use my cell phone. It rained today too, so I decided to work on the box. Ported Box: 1.6 cbft tuned to 34hz The big piece of wood is part of the double baffle and to wall of the trunk. More pics coming soon!
  10. Yes. I doubt they will remain here for two weeks... I have a few used newer case 1500s that I have not gotten around to listing, though. They are not quite as cheap, of course. Do you still have either of these amps?
  11. I don't think you can get 2.5 under or behind the seat. You might have to do a blow through design if you do not want to remove the seats. If you had less of a tunnel it wouldn't be so much a bandpass box. If you had something like this it would be better. Something closer into the cab. I see you are a fellow Floridian. http://image.truckinweb.com/f/9477353/0806...emphis_subs.jpg

I had two 15" MTX 8000's in my 98 Camaro and had a custom box built, but they didn't need near the amount of space you need for yours. Unless you plan to build a wall in the back seat. You will have a tough time getting proper space for those if you are going ported in the hatch.
