I was just asking for clarification..... I guess that would be a good route. Start with 1 for now then buy another when I get enough money.... How will they perform being underpowered a bit?

I pretty much have high intentions for 2 loaded 18" btl's. Pretty much am about 99 percent sure. Any recommendations for highs/mids. Thought about possibly doing a l7 8 in the center console for a mid bass for the front. I already have kicker 2 ways on hand, but wouldn't mind upgrading.

A refurb of what? A 3000d? But the prices are a large sum above the funds I have available. I have heard a lot about them, but for 1600 dollars just in amps.... really hard to write that check.

I listen to mostly rap, why hifonics? I have had experience with them in the past. Not the same amps. But I was happy with them especially with that price. Was looking to spend around $800 on amps. I am a little flexible with pricing give or take a couple of hundred. Was going to go sundown but decided against it. The stock alt is pretty beefy, but I am aware of the fact I'll need a h.o. alt to really have it set right... thanks for the input.

08 tahoe..... roughly 4 ft wide 3.5 ft front to back 2 ft high. Box will be tuned @ 30 hz. Port back subs up. 2 yellow tops in the back knukonceptz 0 ga. wire.

After throwing my original plan around for 4 18 inch bl's I decided I just don't want everything to be packed in so tight. I need some room. So I have a question..... Either 4 fi bl 15's or 2 btl 18's. Either setup will be powered by 2 hifonics 2608d's. Help is appreciated.

An FI BTL Would handle that easy as a daily driver. Also note that those amps are slightly over-rated as they put out around 2300 watts.

Well o you guys have any suggestions on the wall or normal box? And if so what way should the ports / subs be facing?

I am actually seriously considering sa, they just look tough. I have also read tons about them and just checked on pricing (which is much less than I thought it was). But now I am reconsidering the sub size. Is there going to be a noticeable difference in 4 15 bl's versus 18's? I really wouldn't mind saving the space, and I am thinking also tighter bass.

Oh ok well any other suggestions besides sa? I know they are of fairly wide use on this forum. Kicker is over rated to me just their brand in general and haven't had good experience with pioneer, heard rockford was quite strong but never tried.

I will also change that budget from it doesn't really matter to around 2k of course its going to be over but why not shoot for it.

Yeah they sure are beautiful....... and I have a couple of yellow tops already and will run a couple of runs of 0 ga wiring. Big 3 will be done no doubt but this thing comes with a pretty beefy stock alt. Was thinking a couple of 2008D hifonics amps wired @ 1ohm. Also, money isn't really a problem and I am just really doing this for the wow factor. I already have 6 6inch kicker 2 way speakers and a kicker amp for the highs, figured that would get me by for now.

I was just wondering which one would be better, I will be playing mostly rap and am going for loud bass not sq. So 4 bl's or 2 btl's and also was wondering which would be better, to wall it off. Or do a normal box with port facing rear and subs up. This will be in a 08 tahoe. Thanks
