Welcome to the IHoP
Yep, damn, you caught me, straight up copy and paste... What isn't correct? O right, I say not to turn you deck above 3/4 of maximum volume. You disagree. Sure.. some decks never clip, but, the average noob doesn't know this. I wrote that for the noobs out there. If the user knows that their deck does not clip until a different volume level, then they aren't a noob, and won't be needing that tutorial, since they would need to have a oscope to verify that their deck does not clip. Now, you can remove the edit you added to my post... or you can continue to use your powers, delete it, and add your own, because I know you want to.

Welcome to the IHoP
Let Steve delete my post? haha I am here because it is a great enviroment, free of egos and retards, unlike CA.com Plagiarism? Sure... Sorry to say big boy, but you aren't the first person, nor the last to use the same method. I happened to make a post about it, like you, on a different site, wow. So, if I post a thread about the theory of relativity, I am plagiarising Einstein as well? When was the last time you added anything constructive and useful here? I haven't seen anything but whining about how everyone else is posing, and you aren't.

can someone please help me with my gain?
Just wondering.

what shuts amps down besides remote?
Yep, ever try to suck a golf ball through a straw? Same idea. High current + higher wire resitance = Voltage drop across wire like mad, and with that could come melting wire/fire from the power dissipated on the wire. voltage = current X resistance btw

yep, need 1/0 or at the very least 2ga. I would also upgrade that fuse to be sized to 95% of the current carrying capacity of the wire.

can someone please help me with my gain?
I don't run either, deck or amp, and don't recommend to run any either, but all my opinion. Music sounds better when you don't add filler to it that wasn't there in the first place.

Is your voltage dropping without the subs hooked up? IMO, any bass boost is detremental to sound, but, as much boosting as you were giving it would not sound good at all.
-
can someone please help me with my gain?
Should have no trouble getting the voltage you need without all those boosts...
-
can someone please help me with my gain?
Yes, set the sub level to the maximum.

V = sqrt(1200W * 1ohm) = 34.64V

O's game

12 RLP
I have run both the Type R and now the Soundspinter. I loved the Type R, but the Soundsplinter is the better of the two IMO.

Advantage of kicks?
The Type X crossovers are wonderful pieces. I love the adjustability that they provide for the different install possibilities.

EU-700 *PIX*
Smart man. I just had an interesting discussion with a very intelligent industry person on how marketing is taking over. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I too agree with that... which is why I will never work in the industry, and always support companies that provide function/fashion

can someone please help me with my gain?
It is AC voltage, which means polarity of the output voltage really doesn't matter in this case.

checking box for leaks?
Just remove the sub, and double/triple/quadruple check the seams. Use fibreglass resin if you are that concerned.

thinking about surround sound
err, me too.

thinking about surround sound
Surround sound? As in 5.1/6.1? http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/item_i...gory=&p_main=10 Not spending much isn't really an option when you get into 5.1, and you kind of need a DVD player to do it (DVD Audio mmmmmmm).

checking box for leaks?
Urban myth it is not, is very dependant on the gap... but I would NEVER do it.
