  1. Mark operates on CST.
  2. Subwoofers are not midbass drivers. If you were talking about a mid or full range driver... then sure. But looking at your setup, you just like to stuff speakers where ever you can.
  3. wood. If I had money to toss away, aluminum.
  4. Budget? $10? $100? $1000? $1?
  5. lol, might be the 2nd for you in the sand castle.
  6. Better in every way. As for power handling... don't run them so low next time, that's what the mids are for.
  7. Really impressed with the prototype Mark sent me.
  8. kryptonitewhite, newest moron to hit the web.
  9. Not sure why anyone would "love" inductance.
  10. Because the market for something that large isn't big...
  11. I just broke my Jasper jig (mounting hole broke out). I am going to do the same, but I'll just be copying the jasper's hole layout.
  12. Likely dual NS3's + supertweeter.
  13. I just need to pick up a receiver & build the center channel & surrounds.
  14. Peerless HDS. What were you crossing your tweeters over at?
  15. Changed the listening area... along with a new tv and added a prototype sub to the fold. I'll get better pictures when I have some natural light in the room.
  16. www.madisound.com
  17. That isn't the FE127E
  18. I love my BIBs, but in my large living room w/vaulted ceiling, as they stand do not have the impact they did in my bedroom w/8ft ceiling. Looks like I'll have to make another build sometime. I imagine if I loaded the mouth of the same BIB to the floor I would get back the impact.
  19. Since crossover attenuate... the slope (slope = down by the way) is -6dB. As for the rest... calcualtors out there. And now my hands are clean of this mess.
  20. Yes, -6dB Caps come in all different values... so, they can be used to high pass at various different frequencies.
  21. In boats, 9/10 you don't care what quality the sound is, you are concerned with overcoming the sound killing properties of trying to create something in an infinitely large enviroment.

The only thing that can induce noise is a bad ground somewhere in the signal chain, or a poor ground plane on the amplifier or headunit. If you have a bad noise caused by RCAs, it is because there is a break in the wire, or poorly constructed connector.
  23. ANeonRider replied to mazzasec's topic in General Audio
Noise cannot be induced from a DC source to an AC one... not possible. Especially such a low voltage one as in a vehicle. If that was the case, you would have a huge problem in a vehicle, since the whole damn thing is the ground plane (i.e. voltage flowing over it to the negative battery terminal).
  24. I throughly enjoy my H701, and wouldn't ever sell it. I found it very easy to use, but that may be because I have a D310 to control it. I have yet to use the C701 controller.
