What size boxes have you tried for a 12 RL-P?
I have done 2ft^3 @ 28Hz... but that is definitely not for everyone. While the response is very smooth & it gets very low with authority, most people prefer a higher tune (32-35Hz).

Sentra as well? I'll have to try that orientation.

I've seen it done on an Impala once I have, although not all that well yet. You need to get the strut angle correct for it to lift the lid. Currently my strut only holds it up & does not lift at all.

Different port length
No, his is completely internal... it isn't interchangeable either. I suggest not trying to make it dual purpose.

Different port length
Not in the same box, unless you are going to use an external port...

In all reality, if you want to properly keep up with 2 15s, you will need proaudio drivers or horns, which are very efficient, that need to be installed directly on-axis. For midbass, you will need lots of cone area & available throw.

few questions
and why would it be louder facing the other way? ive heard this b4 but i dont remember the reasoning behind it.. the only reason i faced them the way that i did was to make it easier on my self when installing the subs.. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=3767 Cliffs: When you face the subs towards a hard surface, it will load (reinforce) the sound wave. I also say this because of experience, you won't need to port if you face them to the rear.

few questions
Subs don't go into protection, amps do. Sounds like your amp turned off & on & you have a suspect ground in your system, likely your headunit. Also, you would be much louder if you faced the subs to the rear of the car.

If you turn down the subs, sure. JoeHemi57 has owned a set, not sure if he used them or not.

Junk. The only Hifonics stuff worth its weight is the big $$ stuff.- RCA Questions
I advise you spend a little more on the LOC as well, don't cheap out. The lesser prices LOCs do have noticeable & measured roll off on the low end. - Need H/U
