If they were in the kicks, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem playing flat to 3k, but in the doors, not so sure. Again, I really can't say because I'm not listening to them. Every install is different. In my brother's truck, they started to noticeably taper off around 2-2.5k.

Guy is a moron. The formaldehyde is in the glue they use to bond the MDF together. If it didn't have any, it would just be a pile of dust. If the MDF is flaking off, it isn't worth using. Home Depot lumber sucks shit.

Never look at the freq. response when determining how low a tweeter can play. At VERY minimum 2*Fs with a very sharp high pass filter. Personally, I wouldn't run a tweeter at lower than 2.5*Fs... but then again, I've never blown a tweeter before. P.S. You did look at the dimensions & price of that sucker right?

Antenna ground is probably bad. I've never experienced or heard of bad radio reception from an amplifier before.
