  1. Quite obvious this isn't going anywhere.
  2. The HDS is large format... and are just over 4" in diameter. Yes, you will probably need to make MDF rings, which is a good idea anyways, so that you can decouple the driver from the sheetmetal. I also agree with Sean's recommendation. I would try to test out different locations for the tweet though, try placing it in the kick on-axis. There is also the option of going dedicated midbass paired with a wideband driver in the kick... but you need a good eq to pull it off.
  3. Might want to make a thread.
  4. Tooop
  5. Budget?

    You lose.
  8. I need more cow bell.
  9. Fuck me was putting these 8s in ever a good idea.
  10. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...7964&st=150 The affect will be that you will have a good soundstage & killer midbass. Question is, if the components can't fit in the doors, how will midbass drivers? Also, normally a good 2-way driver doesn't make that ideal of a 3-way driver.
  11. They look big, yes, but barely take up any usable leg room.
  12. Another build log update!
  13. Front end fabrication complete!
  14. More pics up on the build log... and I'm gone.. to the garage.
  15. Pictures, like promised. Passenger side kick: Driver's side pod & kick again: Tweeters... in the stock location. Pillar is going to get wrapped with grille cloth. And, the terminal blocks I use for the speaker hook ups & power/ground/remote/e-brake/foot brake for the H701/D310 combo: Wiring is a mess still, that will get cleaned up. Paid $5 for the terminal block.
  16. lol... picture from last Sat. night. She spilt some drink on her breasticles, and this was just after I licked it off hahahaha
  17. It has no roof and the speakers rotate inside a pod which was directly facing me when i was standing behind it. Hmm considering my stage changes significantly if you recline my seat standing outside would have a rather major affect I'd say. As does mine, quite significantly too.
  18. No rust wtf (or ftw)... doing something like that would have taken 10x the time to remove the old parts here.
  19. How can you get an idea of staging when you aren't in the car?
  20. Cost of custom basket would probably make it cost prohibitive.
  21. lol, sweet. I wonder if they have wheelie bars for that thing lol EDIT: Guess I should have looked first.
  22. Only thing stopping me lately has been daylight... since the garage is pretty poorly lit, and the driveway is even worse
  23. I've been enjoying working on the car... usually have a beer sitting shotgun with me, do some work, have a sip. And the net is back now, so I can enjoy the rest of the interweb.
  24. Funny little situation here... SSA is the only site I can get onto at work here. I guess the 'net is supposed to be down here... and it is, for everything but SSA lol
  25. Mag was made by RE? HUH?
