  1. I second the Gold Standard stuff. That's the best I've had so far except for Syntha6 (which doesn't have a ton of protein in it). Also, Smoothies ftw. Mix fruit in like Steve suggested. mmmmmm
  2. Have you tried a lumber yard yet Moving to SPL & SQ / Competition & Fabrication
  3. Try a 70 series if you can fit it. It's an SUV muffler made for V8's. Although, something I've learned while shopping for my exhaust, is it always sounds different than you want it to. So go search youtube and other forums for sound clips, so you don't get stuck with something that sounds like ass.
  4. Sometimes the settings inbetween can sound better than hard left or hard right.
  5. There were a ton of guys who used to run them on their civics when I was in that scene. Not daily guys either, track abuse was pretty common and good times were posted. No one ever mentioned how they felt about wear time though..
  6. Awesome! I'm glad Mark got enough people to do this!
  7. Wire = wire in most cases. Weldingsupply.com can outfit you with 1/0awg. You'll also need an ANL fuse holder and 250A fuse. I wouldn't pay a shop to run wire. Its not hard.
  8. The gain knob is pretty self explanatory. I'm assuming you know how to set the gain on amps correctly. Next is the subsonic filter, used to keep your sub from playing below tuning and shitting itself. You'll want yours around 30hz. The LPF (Low Pass Filter) keeps your sub from playing too high into the midbass frequencies. I usually have to play around with this to get it to blend to my front stage. You'll need to do the same as every one has different tastes. You can leave the Bass Boost at zero. The phase knob changes polarity on the amplifier. Sometimes this can give you a better sound, sometimes it can worsen it. Another setting to play with to see what you like.
  9. What sub? What box/tuning? What head unit? What front speakers? What Music?
  10. How much depends on how much you need. Grab a measuring tape and figure out your path from your front battery to your amp. Buy the amount plus a little extra (2-3ft). 1/0awg would be ideal, especially in case you ever upgrade.
  11. How much room do you have?
  12. Who are you responding to Dr. Johnson? We like the atmosphere on SSA to be chill. Rugdnit was a little out of line.
  13. W205 right? Get the PXA-H701 if you want a good EQ. Probably overkill, but you might as well. And if you still don't have enough gain, get a line driver. Or a more efficient amplifier.
  14. Oh dear god. Not this isht again.
  15. Why not just keep the EQ at the HU flat..
  16. you can't really go from 2-way active to 3-way active without changing the lowend driver to something different. What you might get away with is a 7-8" mid and a 1-2" tweet for your 2-way. Then just add a 3" midrange later on down the road and change the crossover points. Of course this is going to require an extremely versatile 7-8" driver.

Your tuning is fine but that box is under what Fi recommends you use. That probably isn't a real smart move. Try 3^3ft @ 33hz
  18. did you read where i said TWO LAYERS OF RAAMAT? thanx for reading! Easy champ.
  19. I told you before, cutting frequencies out like that is going to sound horrible. It won't be anywhere near "SQL"
  20. I think we're about done here.
  21. ahhh my friend, you are in luck. There is a Deka Intimidator Group Buy on Realm of Excursion right now. http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/showthread.php?t=46014 The link to buy the batteries is here PM the group buy coordinator for the 10% off code. I'd take these over Kinetics any day. I ordered one of the 9A31's for my truck.
  22. "SQL" rofl I'd still say stick with 2 way for now, and if you really like the whole Active + SQ realm, then we can help with a gear list. Usually with a 3-way system you have your tweet (ranging in size from 1"-2"), your midrange(3"-4") and your midbass (often times a 7"-10"). These are just generalizations, there are other sizes people use, but these are the most common.
