  2. Oh noooo! Not another Canuck! J/k man, good to have you here!
  3. I love local shops. they provide daily humor for me.
  4. There's a smiley for that Sub looks big tho, yet another one to add to your collection Baccus?
  5. You need another two channels.. might just stick with 2-way active for simplicity sake.
  6. 399 Euros = 613.26300 US$ currently.
  7. Not necessarily. Dual 2 ohm coils will read 1.5ohms DCR. The coils are fine.
  8. lol, and here I thought something was wrong.
  9. That opens up a lot more options as far as processing goes. You could find a CD8053 (3-way active or 2-way + sub). Or any number of smaller outboard pieces. Audio control makes a few good ones as does Arc Audio. I'll be using the Alpine PXA-H701 with my IVA-W205, even though I'll only be running 2-way active. It's just a nice piece that keeps everything digital until the amps.
  10. Subwoofer aiming varies car to car. It does matter where you point it, but only you and a meter will be able to decide which way is louder. Moving to SPL & SQ / Competition & Fabrication
  11. I'm pretty excited for these man.
  12. .26 is close enough. Figure maybe .02 more for that third slug. It's not going to be audibly different than the 2 slug BTL.
  13. eh.. not sure why this has to do with Fi... soooo Moving to SPL & SQ / Competition & Fabrication
  14. Moving to Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors
  15. One 15" ICON would be great with the 1501D. I'd venture it'd also be louder than your 2 12's in a proper box as well.
  16. Dual 1 or dual 2? Any other options on it?
  17. I applied to work there. They are a very small company that buys surplus directly from the base they are even located on the base. They get prices that are in line with the equipment from other places. if you can get the same scope somewhere else for $500 you can be assured they will be somewhere near that. They will not go for very cheap. Good luck though. Z They're based out of Arizona actually. I've driven by their office. The parent company is in DC.
  18. How did you set your gains on the amp?
  19. Could try something from RF if you don't have the fundage for the Sundown. You might try emailing the SSA store though to see about a better price.
  20. I'd guess wired out of phase. How much sound are you getting from it?
  21. You can check the ohm load of each coil using the "ohms" setting. It should look something like this: Ω
  22. I'm not sure what it can really do, but modifying the current box will be far cheaper than buying new gear. So you might as well start there.
  23. How much space is in that current "box"? He's not getting a lot of output due to it being a sealed box vs a ported box. You might try and add a little polyfill to the current box and see what that does. You also might try building a to spec ported enclosure for the current sub. The amp he has is fine, it should match just fine with a BM as well. You might also hold out for the Sundown 8" subs. Supposedly they're right around the corner.
  24. That's what the forum is for. I'm glad it was just a sealant issue rather than a bottoming out issue.
  25. Three-way? Nice, you should go active now with the 9887. I see a Sundown SAX-100.4 and 100.2 in your future.
