  1. There are several Rockford amps that are within your price range. Make sure to email the SSA store for a better price on all the gear as well. And with you liking the W7.. I would go for a Q from Fi, an ICON from SSA, or a BM from Stereo Integrity. Other options include the MAW from Mach5Audio. Perhaps you should do a little research on those and get back to us with what tickles your fancy.

It's pretty hard to tell you how loud its going to be. You'll have to install it and get it metered. Everyone's setup is different. Over all though, since you like Rap, I assume you like deep, low bass that kicks you right in the ass.. The BL should be exactly what you're looking for.
  3. LOL, I'm pretty sure it's going to be cheaper to just build a new box rather than two new subwoofer.s
  4. It's a good thing you don't have any wild parties to go to this weekend, or hot babes to take out. :P
  5. How about you post your thoughts first? You haven't told us anything about your space restrictions, your electrical upgrades, your likes and dislikes in music, how loud you want it, if you even care if it sounds good. Unless of course you just want to hear everyone's opinion on how you should spend YOUR money. But what we suggest I can almost guarantee won't make you happy.
  6. Damn. Sharpie was my only good idea :/
  7. you might as well just sell the 1500's and get the 3000D. Then add a second one later.
  8. Nice bump can mean a lot of things. Do you want it loud? or do you just want to be able to feel it? When you say "system" a lot of people here think of the entire package because.. that's what system means. Headunit, front (and rear if you like that..) speakers, amps and sub(s). With your budget, you could probably get by with a whole system. An idea would be to go with one low powered sub with a Large amp and then add another sub when you get the money. Or you could do two smaller amps and get one now. Overall though, you'll be much more satisfied if you get yourself a decent set of front speakers, they could be coaxials, they don't need to be components. A head unit that has two sets of preouts with basic EQ function shouldn't run you more than $200.
  9. Wow, someone taught you wrong lol We'll start at the bottom with subs. The LPF should be no higher than 80hz in a typical install. I prefer mine to be crossed over lower than that even. You subsonic filter only applies to ported subwoofer enclosures. You set that to right below your ported frequency to avoid damaging the sub. Your mids need to be bandpassed. Depending on what mids you have you'll have a varying HPF and a varying LPF. The same applies for your tweeters. Although, you probably won't need an LPF on them.
  10. why not do a all parallel to 1 ohm load? You can't wire 2 DVC2 ohm subs to 1 ohm
  11. You STILL haven't told us what you're looking for.
  12. remarkably clean under the carpet
  13. Learn the rules of the internetz plz. One thread. One topic. Not two threads one topic.
  14. What are the stock speaker sizes up front?
  15. Fi cannot recone JL subs.
  16. Just because you've seen people with that setup doesn't mean that the subs were in the recommended enclosure size OR ported.
  17. heh, I was totally kidding. You should know how I detest hardcore SPL. I was more throwing out a joke because someone else on this board happens to be walling his mini for giant lulz.
  18. Wall it off with 3 15" ICON's.
  19. Excellent. I've been trying to find something that has the ability to run active 2-way with onboard DSP whilst giving me a double din screen with DVD playback. Navigation I can live without. The choices are slim. Having dual drives (CD and DVD) would have been a nice bonus too, but the only deck that did that in my price range was the AVN6610.. and I don't think "Circle Surround II" means it'll be able to do a 2-way active lol.
  20. That's not really funny. Hearing damage is no laughing matter.
  21. Spoofing MAC addresses is easier than cracking WEP keys btw. The most secure thing to do is to use WPA and kill the SSID from being broadcasted. It's still going to show up if someone has a sniffer, but if there are other wireless networks to choose from, yours will be the low priority. WPA is extremely difficult to crack. Almost impossible for most hackers, and they certainly aren't going to be able to crack it in the time spent in a car outside of your house. It's really not worth their time.
  22. That enclosure looks undersized for one RL-p 15". Is it deeper than it looks? And again! Are you looking for louder? Simply tuning the box higher should increase output. That box you have now is tuned wicked low.
  23. So here's a question then.. with the H701.. it doesn't have to be coupled with a compatible Alpine head unit to access all of the key features? Or do you have to use the C701 to control it? Like for instance the IVA-W205 doesn't list as being compatible with the H701 on Alpine's site.
