  1. So you want to adjust the gains accordingly to give yourself 600w no matter what the ohm load? 600w is 600w. Especially on the same amp. If it were a Class A/B at 600w @ 2 ohms and a Class D at 600w @ 2 ohms, then the story would be different.
  2. So you want to use two channels on the RCA's and two on the High level inputs? Did you RTFM yet? That might tell you if you can or can't since you didn't tell us what amp it is.
  3. I'll second the RCA's as well. You haven't checked the signal line yet to be sure the amp is even getting anything.
  4. You can bridge the channels independently. 1+2 for the comps and then 3/4 bridged to 4 ohms (and only 4 ohms) will give you 200w. Everything should be fine if you keep the ohm loads the same as what the amp can handle.
  5. One of the positives for the BTL.. if you spell it differently you get BLT and everyone likes Bacon Lettuce and Tomato samwhiches. But seriously, You have Fi Customer support to back you up in any situation. Providing you with recones and parts that I doubt DD will be able to match in price point.
  6. If you have the coin, go for it. I think you have more serious issues though if your amps are effecting your FM reception.
  7. looks good mang.
  8. do you mean the SAZ-1500D?
  9. Are these gonna be for your tweets?
  10. It is indeed a bad ground. As far as where to ground it to, thats up to you. Search around and try a couple of new spots until it goes away. And no, it's not just deck specific. A lot of other decks will have the same problem with a poor ground.
  11. Who cares what they sound like? you said yourself that this is a strictly SPL setup, and to be honest, both of those subs are not good listening subs. Unless you like the way poo sounds on its way to the porcelain bowl.
  12. Read the thread. Supposedly they're right in between the HC2000 and the HC2400 capacity wise.
  13. there's one on ebay for $200 plus $20 shipping. That's a little inflated in my opinion.
  14. hm....... i might do this to my car. would a thread rod lets say 2ft long hammered 1.5ft into the ground work?? The deeper the better. Usually grounding rods are at a minimum of 4ft. You could try it though.
  15. 1000w is going to draw more current than 600w dude. That's pretty easy to understand. Unless it's two separate amps. Then there might be a difference.
  16. a 180-200a alternator should be plenty for you with room to upgrade in the future if you so decide. You should try emailing Nate at Excessive Amperage, or the nice people at Powermaster.
  17. It's just a built up charge in the frame of the car. I've seen it happen often before. If you really want to get rid of it you're going to need to discharge the car. Disconnect the battery from the car (negative and positive). Bolt a 4 gauge or thicker cable to the car. Connect the other end to a metal rod (preferably copper). Bury the rod 3/4 of the way under ground. Let the car sit over night (about 8 hours). Most of the charge should be gone, if not all of it.
  18. There it is. Told you I'd seen one before.
  19. Woah, what will that be tuned to after the final build?
  20. I swear I've seen one. But I can't find it now.
  21. I really doubt if you send the SSD 1600w that i'll last very long. And I'm sure it'll void the warranty. Try the BL.
  22. Come on guys. It's probably been quite a blur for those guys through christmas, new years and now right in the middle of CES. The Fi Shop is only so big, you'll have to be patient until they get back into town/work.
  23. 1500w total or to each sub?
  24. Do they not teach Punctuation in school anymore? Jeez..
